 We found Chobani Greek Yogurt Maple Blended at the supermarket in Connecticut.

On the lid and cup, it says "limited batch" in dotted circles.
Though it's not fat-free but 2% fat, I bought it as it's a special batch.

 It looked plain yogurt as it's white, but it had a little sweet maple syrup scent.

 Most of the time, Chobani Greek Yogurt is thick but this flavor was much lighter and waterier than those that I've had.
It had the characteristic sourness and gradually sweetness stared appearing.
It's lightly sweetened and the maple flavor wasn't as rich or sweet as when I eat pancakes with.

コネチカットのスーパーで、チョバニ ギリシャヨーグルト メープルブレンドを見つけた。
蓋とカップには、点線の円の中に「数量限定」と書かれていた。
無脂肪ではなく脂肪分2％のヨーグルトだったけれど、限定だったので買った。

プレーンヨーグルトと見た目は変わらなかったけれど、甘いメープルシロップの香りが
ほんのりとあった。
多くのチョバニ ギリシャヨーグルトは濃厚だけれど、これまでに食べたものに比べて
これはさらっとして水っぽかった。
独特の酸味があり、徐々にメープルシロップの味が出てきた。
甘さは控えめで、パンケーキにかけた時のような味の濃さではなかった。

 I finally tried Buffalo Chicken Fries at Burger King, which was launched late in October, 2015, for a limited time.
It's the same shape as Chicken Fries that I had before, and the batter had buffalo chicken's seasoning.

 The box was different from regular Chicken Fries, and the chicken was dressed up as a buffalo with a nose ring.

Both sides had horns.
"I may be chicken but my spirit animal is buffalo"
"Buffalo #chickenfries"

On the back, there's a tail.
"Have you herd #chickenfries?"

Hair on the head.

Though it said "watering saucin' hole," they didn't give me any sauce.

 They said there's no new special sauce designed for this Buffalo Chicken Fries, so I got BBQ sauce.

 The breading was brighter and deeper red, and it had light vinegary flavor.

 Like the flavor, the seasoning wasn't strong enough to cover the oily scent and it didn't really have much sour or spicy taste of Buffalo Chicken.
And with BBQ sauce, it's almost the regular Chicken Fries with a bit of vinegar flavor.

バーガーキングが2015年10月下旬に期間限定発売したバッファローチキンフライを
やっと食べた。
これは以前食べたチキンフライと同じ形状で、衣にバッファローチキンの味が付いて
いる。
箱は通常のチキンフライとは異なり、鶏がバッファロー（水牛）の姿になっていた。
頭部の毛、両側面には角、背面には尾が描かれていた。

 箱にはソースを収める穴があったけれど、ソースは渡されなかったのでレジに戻った。
バッファローチキンフライ向けの新しいソースはないとのことだったので、BBQソースを
もらった。

 衣は明るく濃い赤色で、軽いお酢の香りがした。
香りと同じで味は薄く、バッファローチキンの酸味や辛さがほとんどなかった。
BBQソースを付けると、通常のチキンフライと味に大差はなく少し酸っぱさが足された
程度だった。

 Before leaving for NYC, we had our last poutine at Le Bar Sportif in Montreal Airport.
It's after the security and immigration to the states, so the access is limited, FYI.
There're counters and seating tables.

 Menu
Tater Tot Poutine had "spicy mayonnaise" and I ordered the dish without mayonnaise.

There're lots of golden brown tater tots under brown gravy sauce and cheese curds.
It's topped with some green onions.

The amount of gravy sauce was good enough for me because I don't like soggy fries, but if you're a fan of "fries soaked in the sauce," maybe it's too little.

Cheese curds were soft and small, and partially because we're so spoiled now from the real deal cheese curds outside of Montreal, but still they're not squeaky at all.
Besides, they put only a few.

 Tater tots were crunchy outside and moist inside, and the gravy sauce was starch, sweet at first then salty in the end.

ニューヨークへ発つ前に、モントリオール空港のLe Bar Sportifで最後のプーティンを食べた。
保安検査とアメリカへの入国審査を過ぎた場所にあるため、全員がこのエリアへ入れる
わけではない。

 店内にはカウンターとテーブル席があった。
メニューに記載されていた「テイタートッツ プーティン」はスパイシーマヨネーズが
入っていたので、マヨネーズ抜きで頼んだ。

茶色のグレービーソースとチーズカードの下には、沢山のテイタートッツがあり、上には
刻んだネギが乗っていた。
グレービーソースはポテトがぐしょぐしょにならない量で、私には丁度良かったけれど、
「ソースに浸されたポテト」が好きな人には少し物足りないかと思う。
チーズカードは小さくて柔らかく感じ、これはモントリオール以外で食べたしっかりと
歯応えのあるチーズカードに慣れてしまったのが原因の1つだとは思うけれど、それに
してもこれは全く歯応えがなかった。
また、量もかなり少なかった。
テイタートッツは外側がカリッとし、内側はしっとりしていた。
とろみのあるグレービーソースは甘さがあり、後から塩気が出てきた。

We went to Pappas Pizzeria on Hope Street in Stamford, CT, which is coincidentally located on the opposite side of Papa John's.

My husband said he didn't remember when he'd visited there last time, which implied that he didn't like the pizza.
However, it's been so long that he didn't even remember what was wrong with the pizza and that's the reason we tried the pizza.

The kitchen was clean and tidy, and there's a tray of shredded mozzarella.
We got a small cheese pizza and waited for about 10-15 minutes.

We got it as to-go, they cut the pizza and put into a paper bag.

It's interesting to see 2 paper plates were used instead of a box, and there's a parchment paper on the bottom plate.

 The pizza was sliced into 8 pieces.

 The crust looked similar to Hope Pizza, as it's not thin but evenly tall with some wall of crispy cheese as if it's baked in a mold.

 When I flipped the crust, I saw non-coal but seared bottom, which I assumed from the pan.

The bottom was crunchy while the inside was fluffy, tomato sauce was seasoned with some herbs which weren't too strong, and the cheese was melted and gooey.
Both of us thought this pizza was good though it's not our favorite style of crust, but I found the cheese was way too greasy and I had to blot some off.

スタンフォードのホープ通りにあるパパス ピッツェリアへ行った。
このお店は偶然にもパパジョーンズ（ピザチェーン）の反対側にある。

 旦那は最後にいつ行ったか記憶がないと言っていて、これは「ここのピザがあまり好き
ではない」ということを暗に示していた。
ただ、ずっと食べていないので何が気に入らなかったのかも思い出せなかったため、
このお店のピザを食べてみた。

 キッチンは綺麗に整頓されていて、削ったモッツァレラチーズが入ったトレイが見えた。
チーズピザ（S）を頼み、10〜15分ほど待った。
テイクアウトで頼んだので、紙袋に入れて渡された。
紙箱ではなく2枚の紙皿の間にピザが置かれ、下の紙皿にはクッキングシートが敷かれて
いた。

 ピザは8枚にスライスされていた。
クラストはホープピザに似ていて、フライパンに入れて焼いたように均一な高さと焼けた
チーズで出来た壁があり、薄い生地ではなかった。
生地を裏返すと、炭ではなく焼き目が付いていたので、型に入れて焼いたのだと思う。

 底はカリッとして内側は柔らかく、トマトソースはハーブの香りが適度にあり強すぎる
ことはなかった。
チーズはとろっと溶けていて美味しかった。
私たちが好きなクラスとのタイプではなかったけれど、このピザもなかなか美味しいと
思った。
チーズがかなり脂っこかったので、ペーパータオルで油を少し取ってから食べた。

 We went to John's of Bleecker Street the other day.
It's founded on Sullivan Street in 1929 by John Sasso, an Italian immigrant.
The restaurant has been on Bleecker street in Greenwich Village after losing the lease, to where he had brought the original oven from the first place, which is a coal fired brick oven.

 This oven is in the first area when you walk in, and one of the staffs said this is the original oven.

There's another space in the restaurant, and the space also had an oven but it's newer by several years.

 Menu

 We had a large pizza with half plain and half mushrooms and pepperoni.
A friend of ours ordered it as "very crispy," they put the pizza longer than usual.

 Large is 16 inch (40cm) in diameter and cut into 8 slices, but the slices were uneven and some pieces were about a half the size of the large slices.

This is a plain slice.
The crust was crispy as he's asked, and the tomato sauce was thick and had condensed sour tomato flavor.
The cheese didn't have any saltiness or much flavor, the slice was "ok" but not excellent.

 This is a mushroom and pepperoni slice.

The pepperonis were bright red so that the color was similar to tomato sauce, and mushrooms were thinly sliced and as it's baked longer to make the crust crispy, many of the mushrooms were burned to dark.

The crust was light and crispy outside and inside, and the texture was different from NY style pizza to me as it didn't have much chewiness and the center was a bit too soft to fold into skinny triangle.
It had saltiness from pepperoni and nice flavor from mushrooms, and thanks to those toppings, the pizza became more enjoyable than plain.

They bake the pizza directly on the oven and the bottom of the crust had many dark spots.

 After eating 3 slices of pizza, my fingers were black from the coal.
Some say John's on Bleecker Street is one of the best pizzas in the city, but I think "good pizza needs no toppings," so in my opinion, I wasn't that impressed by the pizza here.

この前、ジョーンズ オブ ブリーカーストリートに行って来た。
1929年にイタリア移民のジョーン サッソ氏がサリバン通りに開店した。
賃貸契約が終了した後は、グリニッジビレッジのブリーカーストリートに移転し、元祖
店舗から石炭オーブンを取り外し持って来た。

 店員によると、入り口近くのスペースにあるオーブンが創業当初から使われているもの
らしい。
奥にも飲食スペースにもオーブンがあるけれど、これは数年新しいとのことだった。

 Lサイズのピザを頼み、半分はプレーン、もう半分はマッシュルームとペパロニを乗せて
頼んだ。
友達が「サクサクに焼いてください」と注文したので、通常よりも焼き時間が長いよう
だった。

 Lサイズは直径が16インチ（40センチ）で、8枚のスライスにカットされていたけれど、
どのスライスも不揃いだったので、中には大きなスライスの半分ほどのサイズしかない
ものもあった。

 プレーン
クラストは友達が頼んだ通りサクサクで、トマトソースは濃く酸味のある濃縮された
トマトの味だった。
チーズは塩気や味がほとんどなく、このピザは「まぁ美味しい」という印象だった。

 マッシュルーム、ペパロニ
ペパロニは鮮やかな赤色で、トマトソースと色がとても似ていた。
マッシュルームは薄いスライスで、生地をサクサクに焼くために長くオーブンに入って
いたので多くのものが黒くなっていた。
生地は外側も内側も軽くサクッとし、もっちりした部分があるニューヨークスタイルの
ピザとは異った食感で、このピザは中心部分が柔らかすぎて細い三角形に折り畳むのが
難しかった。
ペパロニの塩気、マッシュルームの香りが足され、プレーンよりも美味しく食べられた。

 ピザをオーブンで直焼きするので、底は黒く焼けた部分が沢山あった。
3枚食べ終わる頃には、炭で指が黒くなっていた。

 ジョーンズ オブ ブリーカーストリートがニューヨーク市内で1番美味しいと言う人もいる
けれど、私は「美味しいピザはトッピングが不要なはず」だと思うので、評判とは異なり
あまり美味しいとは思わなかった。
