Papa John's Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza
パパジョーンズのベーコンチーズバーガー ピザ
(Japanese follows. / 日本語は以下へ続く。)
I saw a commercial about Papa John's new pizza, "Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza" and have been interested in.
It's launched on February 2, 2015 and available for a limited time, and it consists of hickory-smoked bacon, dill pickles slices, Roma tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and burger sauce.
It's said that they had Cheeseburger Pizza last year and this pizza was created after hearing the love of the flavor and they added bacons to it.
They also have a newest dessert called "Double Chocolate Chip Brownie," and yes, we ordered it as it's only 6 dollars.
Tonight, my husband checked the site and it's only 20 minutes on Amsterdam Ave. to deliver so we decided to get one; half as it was and half without bacon.
A large pizza was 12 dollars for a promotion and it's cheaper than medium, so we got a large.
HOWEVER, 20 minutes after placing our order, nobody came.
30 minutes after ordering, still no one had come.
After 45 minutes in total, m husband called the branch and they said, "Soon it'll be delivered."
Though, 15 minutes had passed but nobody...
So he re-called and the same person said the same damn thing. <--- "soon" is never trusted in this type of situation.
Another 15 minutes passed and he re-re-called, then another person answered the phone and the employee must have called a driver/biker to call my husband.
My husband got an anonymous phone call and the guy on the phone just asked him the street number.
It's been more than 30 minutes since he's left for delivery and it's clear that the pizza was already cold at this point.
After another 15 minutes, the pizza finally was delivered.
When we asked the delivery person why it had took him so long, he said, "Ah, didn't know the location."
He didn't say any single word of "S-O-R-R-Y" or didn't even seem to care to give us cold pizza.
They'd better study maps and know how to say, "Thank you" and "Sorry" if they're in customer service industry especially, and these phrases should be used if they're humans.
I was furious and pissed over this craziness, though I just tried the already-cold pizza which took them 90 minutes to deliver after getting an order.
(I was too lazy to reheat at that point.)
Here is the review of the Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza.
It had strong sour dill pickle flavor more than cheese.
The crust was fluffy as always, and there're large slices of pickles, diced tomatoes, beef chunks and bacons.
Though I thought pickles were overpowering the pizza, somehow it tasted fine, but I didn't notice any hickory scent in the bacons.
Regarding pizza sauce, I have no idea what they meant "burger sauce," I could only see American cheese or Wiz spread underneath the mozzarella cheese.
It's much better than I thought but yes, it's cold, and I must have been starving as I could eat the cold pizza fine.
Garlic butter was congealed and separated, and it's obvious that how bad (cold) that pizza was brought in.
Double Chocolate Chip Brownie
It smelled really good and looked good; just unevenly cut into 9 pieces.
A middle piece was stuck on the aluminum tray.
But the piece on the corner came off easily.
The reason it's called "Double Chocolate Chip Brownie" is that it's not only topped with chocolate chips but they're in the batter, too.
Chocolate chips in the dough wasn't melty like image on the HP but it was moist and very rich chocolate brownie.
Same as Red Kettle Cookie, the dessert was tastier than the pizza.
Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza (Large): 12 dollars
