They launched chestnut flavor for a limited time on August 23, 2016.

When I opened the orange pouch, instantly sweet and rich chestnut scent came out.

There're small crispy puffs, and the chestnut flavor stayed in the back of my nose to the end.

Morinaga launched 2 flavors of Otona Pakkuncho on Paril 21, 2015.
* Otona means adult in Japanese.
The other day, I tried "Rich Strawberry" and I could tell the difference from the regular Pakkuncho by the appearance and flavor.

Bitter Cacao has 5 different packages; Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Cinderella and Alice, and my husband got me an Alice package.

On the back, there're short description of the flavor.
In yellow letters, it says, "Morish bitter cacao cream is filled in the cocoa biscuits."

When I opened the resealable pouch, I was surprised to see grayish biscuit balls and I couldn't think of cacao at all but charcoal.

Here are the all balls.

The left line, top to bottom, it's Marie, Tinker Bell, Sun and I think it's Dopey, one of the 7 dwarves from Snow White, but as Otona Pakkuncho use only the silhouette, some were hard to tell.

The 3 balls were all Donald Duck.

The left, it's a Mickey, the middle are both Minnie, then the right pieces were Chip 'n' Dale.

The left 2 pieces were Pooh, and the right side was 2 Rapunzel, Pascal (a chameleon, Papunzel's pet) and Elsa from the top.

I thought it's Dopey, but I can't tell.

The outside didn't look like the ones on the package because they're at least dark brown, but the actual pieces were much darker and blackish.

The filling uses cacao 20% chocolate, and it was bitter and darker than regular chocolate used in Pakkuncho.
Though it looked burnt, it didn't have any odor and it's a lightly sweetened Pakkuncho.

To compare with Rich Strawberry, this Bitter Cacao was harder to see the patterns printed on the surface as the inks and the biscuit had similar colors.

2015年4月21日、森永からオトナパックンチョが2フレーバー発売された。
この前「濃いイチゴ」を食べた時、見た目や味から通常のパックンチョとは異なることが
分かった。
「ほろにがカカオ」にはミッキー、ミニー、ドナルド、シンデレラ、アリスの5種類の
デザインがあり、旦那はアリスを買ってきた。

裏面には味の説明が簡単に書いてあり、黄色の文字で「あとひきのある ほろにがカカオ
クリームをココアビスケットにギュッと閉じこめました。」とあった。

ジッパー付きの袋を開けてみて、中に入っていた灰色がかったビスケットの玉を見て
驚き、カカオの味は全く想像できず、木炭が頭に浮かんだ。

左の4個は上から、マリーちゃん、ティンカーベル、太陽、白雪姫の小人「おとぼけ」だと
思う。
オトナパックンチョはシルエットのみ印刷しているので、分かりにくいものもあった。

右側は3個は全てドナルドダック。

左端はミッキー、真ん中の縦2個はミニー、右端の縦2個はチップとデール。

左の2個はプーさん、右は上からラプンツェルが2個、パスカル（ラプンツェルのペット、
カメレオン）、エルサだった。

実際のビスケットは黒っぽく、袋に載っていた焦げ茶色の写真と全く違うように見えた。

中のチョコレートはカカオが20％含まれるため、通常のパックンチョのチョコレートより

苦く色も濃かった。

焦げているように見えたけれど、焦げ臭さはなく、甘さが控えめのパックンチョだった。

濃いイチゴに比べて、インクとビスケットの色が似ているため、さらに柄を見分けるのが

難しかった。

My husband bought me a new Pakkuncho called "Otona Pakkuncho."
Otona means adult in Japanese, and the Otona Pakkuncho has 2 flavors; Bitter Cacao and Rich Strawberry.

It's launched on April 21, 2015, and each flavor has 5 different pouch designs.
Rich Strawberry uses Mickey, Minnie, Pooh, Mari and Rapunzel, and my husband bought me Rapunzel.

OTONA PACK'NCHO

I didn't know "pack'ncho" was the correct spelling till now and I simply used Romaji when I wrote it.

On the back.
"Sweet-and-sour rich strawberry cream is in the pale pink biscuit."
It also says that when they calculated as fresh strawberries, 46% of the filling is strawberry.

When I opened the bag, I instantly noticed the very strong and fruity strawberry flavor.
The pouch was resealable so that  it's easy to carry it around.

There're 100 patterns they say, and mine had the following.
From the left, there're Mickey, Minnie (5 pieces), princesses (5 pieces), Pooh (2 pieces), Cheshire Cat, Marie, Chip 'n' Dale and a sun. 

Minnie had 4 different designs and princesses were 2 Rapunzel, Cinderella, Elsa and Anna.
Pooh was 2 designs, and Chip 'n' Dale was hard to tell so I'm not sure if it's one each of one of them.

Regular Pakkuncho has much clearer patterns but Otona Pakkuncho uses mainly the shadows and outlines so that some of them were hard to distinguish.
This is Rapunzel.

The crispy biscuit was actually pale pink even though it's difficult to see it in the photo.
And the pink colored strawberry chocolate was very rich in flavor and fruity.

The chocolate was not only sweet and fruity but also had sourness which is so different from regular Pakkuncho's strawberry flavor.

旦那がパックンチョの新商品「オトナパックンチョ」を買ってきた。
このオトナパックンチョには「ほろにがカカオ」と「濃いイチゴ」の2フレーバーが
ある。

2015年4月21日に発売され、各フレーバーのパッケージには5種類のデザインがあり、
濃いイチゴにはミッキー、ミニー、プーさん、マリーちゃん、ラプンツェルがある。
旦那が選んだのは、ラプンツェルだった。

これまでパックンチョはローマ字で「Pakkuncho」と書くものだと思っていたけれど、
英語表記が「Pack'ncho」と綴ると初めて知った。

裏面には「甘酸っぱく濃いイチゴクリームをほんのりピンクのビスケットにギュッと閉じ
こめました。」と書いてあり、クリーム中のイチゴは生換算すると、46％らしい。

袋を開けると、甘酢っぱいイチゴの香りがはっきり分かった。
また、ジッパーが付いているので持ち運びも便利なデザインだった。

ビスケットの柄は100種類もあるようで、この袋には以下が入っていた。

左からミッキー、ミニー（5個）、プリンセス（5個）、プーさん（2個）、チェシャ猫、
マリーちゃん、チップとデール、太陽だった。
ミニーは4種類の柄で、プリンセスはラプンツェルが2個とシンデレラ、エルサ、アナが
1個ずつ、チップとデールは分かりにくく、どちらか一方だけだったのかもしれない。
通常のパックンチョは顔がはっきり印刷されているけれど、このオトナパックンチョは
主にシルエットだけが描かれて、見分けにくいものもあった。

写真では分かりづらいけれど、実際にサクサクしたビスケット部分は淡いピンク色をして
いて、中のチョコレートは色が濃く、味が濃くフルーティーだった。
チョコレートは甘いだけではなく酸味もあり、通常のパックンチョのイチゴ味とは全く
違う味だった。

My husband found new snacks for me.
One of them is called "Angel Pie Premium <Vanilla>" launched on April 7, 2015.

It's designed for adults to enjoy "premium" flavor and texture.

In the middle, there's chewy marshmallow, the soft biscuit uses cocoa powder, and the bitter chocolate coating contains cacao 43%.

There's a keyhole with "Open" on the left side.

On the side, there's a key for the keyhole above.

On the back.
It says "Rich Chocolate Pie" over the Angel Pie.
And there're analysis of the pie; bitter chocolate, chewy marshmallow and moist chocolate biscuit.

In the blue box in the middle, it says, "We made over our long-loved Angel Pie for richer flavor and more elegant. Please enjoy exquisite blissful moment."

There're 2 individual pouches in side.

When I saw the actual Angel Pie, I felt the chocolate coating was darker than original pie.

The whole Angel Pie was coated in dark chocolate.

When I opened the pouch, it had alcoholic scent and it sure had the taste, too.
I feel like anything with "premium" or "rich" concept uses alcohol, which I don't really like.
The marshmallow was chewy and the cocoa flavored biscuit was soft and fragile so that the texture was similar to cake.
The bitter chocolate coating was slightly bitter but the marshmallow was sweet and the whole product had a great balance of bitterness and sweetness.

東京にいる間、旦那が色々なお菓子を買ってきた。
そのうち1つが「エンゼルパイ プレミアム <プレミアム>」で、森永から2015年4月7日に
発売された。
これは大人がプレミアムな食感や味を楽しめるようにデザインされたらしい。

もっちりしたマシュマロが、ココアパウダーが使われた柔らかいビスケットに挟まれ、
チョコレートコーティングはカカオが43%含まれるビターチョコレート。

箱の上部分には「Open」と書かれた鍵穴があり、側面には鍵が1つ描かれていた。

背面には「濃厚チョコレートパイ」と書かれ、エンゼルパイの分析が記載されていた。
それによると、ビターチョコレート（のコーティング）、もっちりマシュマロ、しっとり
チョコレートビスケットが使われていると図付きで分かった。
中心には「長年愛され続けてきたエンゼルパイをより味わい深く、より上品に仕立て直し
ました。気品あふれる至福のひとときをお楽しみください。」と書かれていた。

箱の中には個包装が2つ入っていた。
確かにチョココーティングの色が、通常のものよりも色が濃いように感じた。
エンゼルパイはしっかりとダークチョコレートに覆われていた。

袋を開けるとアルコールの香りがし、食べるとアルコールの味もした。
「プレミアム」や「リッチ」と謳うものには苦手とするアルコールが使われることが多い
気がする。
マシュマロはもっちりし、ココア風味のビスケットは甘く柔らかかったので、ケーキに
似ていた。
ビターチョコレート コーティングは少し苦味があったけれど、マシュマロが甘いので
苦さと甘さのバランスが良かった。
