Local Souvenir Pocky "Yubari Melon" is one of the 5 flavors my mom brought for me back in February, 2017 with Goroujima Kintoki, Sato Nishiki, Uji Matcha and Shinshu Kyoto.
This flavor was renewed from February 2, 2016 and is available in Hokkaido and international airports.
The chocolate contains 24% of Yubari Melon juice.
There's a drop under the melon, and I guess it implies freshness and fruit juice.

It contains 24% of Yubari Melon grown in Hokkaido.
Yubari Melon from Hokkaido becomes Pocky.
We used Yubari Melon juice that is rich in flavor and has deep sweetness.
This is a luxurious Pocky asYubari Melon scent will unfold in your moth.

There're individually wrapped 15 pouches inside.

The chocolate was as bright orange as the actual Yubari Melon flesh, and it had sweet melon scent.
First fruity sweet flavor appeared in my mouth, and though the aftertaste was chocolate, the melon flavor lasted till the end.

ご当地みやげポッキー「夕張メロン」は2017年2月に母が持ってきてくれたものの1つ。
この他に五郎島金時、佐藤錦、宇治抹茶、信州巨峰の4種類のポッキーも一緒に買って
きてくれた。
夕張メロン味は2016年2月2日にリニューアルされ、北海道と国際線ターミナルで販売
されている。
夕張メロン果汁が24%使用されているらしい。
メロンの下に雫があり、みずみずしさや果汁を表現しているのかもしれない。

芳醇な香りとコクのある甘みの夕張メロンの果汁を使いました。
お口の中で、夕張メロンの味と香りがふわっと広がる贅沢なポッキーです。

個包装されたポッキーが15本入っていた。

夕張メロンの果肉と同じ鮮やかなオレンジ色のチョコレートで、メロンの甘い香りが

した。

最初にメロンのフルーティな甘さが広がり、後味はチョコレートだったけれど、メロンの

香りはずっと続いた。

When my parents came to visit us, my mom found so many special Pocky that I didn't think she could buy as those are locally limited flavors, but she somehow managed to get 5 flavors; Goroujima Kintoki, Sato Nishiki, Uji Matcha, Shinshu Kyoho and Yubari Melon.
The first 2 flavors were launched on January 24, 2017 and the rest was renewed from February 2, 2016.

Uji Mathca is available in Kinki area (Kyoto, Osaka, Hyogo, Shiga, Nara and Wakayama prefectures), but also sold at international airports.
The red box says, "Japan only."

Uji Macha
An old firm, Tsujiri's matcha from Uji, Kyoto is used.
This matcha Pocky is made with traditional Uji matcha.
We added Tencha, which is the leaves to make matcha powder by grinding, to enrich the taste.
This richly flavored Pocky is well balanced with fragrant matcha for the scent and umami.

There're 15 pieces and they're individually packed.

It had really good matcha scent when I opened the pouch.

As written on the box, it had more bitterness than other ordinary matcha flavored snacks.
It's a thicker Pocky and so was the chocolate layer, and it's much richer in the flavor and taste than I had expected.

両親が来た際、母が地域限定フレーバーにもかかわらず5種類も見つけてきてくれた。

買って来てくれたものは、五郎島金時、佐藤錦、宇治抹茶、信州巨峰、夕張メロン。

最初の2種類は2017年1月24日に発売され、残りの3種類は2016年2月2日にリニューアル
されたもの。

宇治抹茶は近畿地区の2府4県（京都、大阪、兵庫、滋賀、奈良、和歌山）で販売されて
いる。
また、国際線ターミナルでも購入できる。

京都宇治の老舗「辻利」抹茶使用
伝統の宇治抹茶を使った抹茶ポッキー。
抹茶に挽く前の碾茶を加え、濃い味わいに仕上げました。
香り高い抹茶の香味と旨みが調和した贅沢なポッキーです。

15本入りで、個包装されていた。

袋を開けると、抹茶の良い香りがした。

箱に書いてあった通り、よくある抹茶味のお菓子よりも苦味があって美味しかった。 

太いポッキーなのでチョコレートの層が厚いからか、想像していたよりも香り同様に

抹茶の味が濃く甘さが控えめだった。

When my parents visited us in NY, I asked them to bring some (well, a lot of) Japanese snacks and one of them was special Pocky.
It's called Gotouchi Miyage Pocky (ご当地みやげポッキー) and it means Local Souvenir Pocky, and the series had Hokuriku area only flavor, "Goroujima Kintoki," available in Ishikawa, Toyama and Fukui prefectures from January 24, 2017.
I thought this Pocky was the same size of regular Pocky, but apparently, it's a big box and sold at train stations, airports, and duty free shops at the international terminals, not at regular supermarkets.
My mom looked for this flavor at the local supermarkets but didn't see it at all, but on the way to Narita Airport, she found this at a train station.
And also 4 other flavors at a duty free shop after going through the embarkation procedure, and I got 5 special flavored Pocky thanks to her.

Goroujima Kintoki is a type of sweet potatoes from Ishikawa prefecture, called Kaga Vegetables (加賀野菜).
8% of the chocolate coating is Goroujima Kintoki.

The box is about 24cm (9.44 inch) long.

Pocky with Goroujima Kintoki that was grown in a dune land facing Japan Sea.
Goroujima Kintoki, a type of traditional Kaga vegetables, has a characteristic flaky texture.  
It's a luxurious Pocky that provides fine sweetness in your mouth.

Individual wraps also had the same design of the side of the box.

The wrap was also 24cm (9.44 inch).

It's a long, large, and thick Pocky with sweet potato scent.

Pocky was about 18.5cm (7.23 inch).

Comparison with my hand.

The chocolate coating was completely covering the top.

Smooth chocolate was rich in sweet potato flavor and the sweetness was from vegetables.
It tasted like sweet potatoes and this Pocky was so tasty.
The biscuit was also thicker than that of regular Pocky so that it's crispier.

両親がニューヨークへ来る時、日本のお菓子を（大量に）お願いしていて、その中の1つが

特別なポッキーだった。
このポッキーはご当地みやげポッキーと呼ばれ、五郎島金時は北陸3県（石川、富山、
福井）で2017年1月24日に発売された。
このポッキーは通常のポッキーと同じ大きさだと思っていたのだけれど、大箱入りで駅や
飛行場、国際線ターミナルなどで販売されていて、スーパーにはないらしい。
母が地元のスーパーを探したけれど全く見なかったと言っていたのだけれど、成田空港へ
向かう時に駅で見つけてくれた。
さらに、出国手続き後の免税店で4種類のフレーバーを見つけてくれ、全部で5種類の特別
ポッキーを持って来てくれた。

五郎島金時は加賀野菜の1つであるサツマイモで、チョコレートコーティングに五郎島
金時が8％入っている。

箱の長さは約24センチ。

裏

日本海に面した砂丘地で育った五郎島金時のポッキー。
コッボコボの食感が特徴の伝統的な加賀野菜のひとつ、五郎島金時を使いました。
お口の中で、上品な甘さが広がる贅沢なポッキーです。
* コッボコボとは金沢の方言で「ホクホク」という意味らしい。

個包装の袋にも側面と同じ写真が印刷されていた。

袋の端から端までも24センチ。

長くて大きく、太いポッキーで、サツマイモの香りがした。

ポッキーは18.5センチほど。

手と比較。

チョコレートコーティングは先までしっかりとかかっていた。

滑らかなチョコレートでサツマイモの味が濃く、野菜の甘みがあり、スイートポテトを
食べているような味と香りでとても美味しかった。
ポッキーのビスケットも太さがあるので、通常のものよりもサクサク感が強かった。
