My husband found a area-limited flavored Pretz, and it's matcha flavor.

It's launched on July 29, 2014 with Yuru-Kyara package, including Ramen Flavored Pretz, for a limited time.* Regarding Yuru-Kyara, please see Funassyi Pretz.

The character on the package is called "出世大名 家康くん (Shusse Daimyo Ieyasu-kun)," and the image is Ieyasu Tokugawa who built Hamatsu Castle in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka.

出世 (Shusse) means career success, and 大名 (Daimyo) means feudal lord.

The topknot is eel because Lake Hamana is famous for eels.

On the back, there's information of Ieyasu-kun's topknot and also the castle in Hamamatsu city.

Underneath "グリコ (Glico)," it says that the Pretz has rich flavor with fine bitterness and sweetness.

I thought it wouldn't have much matcha flavor but just sweet scent, but when I opened the bag, it actually had strong matcha scent.

Each Pretz had pale green coating on the top, but it didn't look like chocolate.

At the bottom, it's golden brown.

From the side, I could see only the upper half had green color.

Like the scent, it had noticeable matcha flavor but didn't have much bitterness, and the Pretz was sweet and fragrant.
I think it's enjoyable for those who don't like matcha that much as it's mainly sweet.

旦那がご当地限定の抹茶味プリッツを買ってきた。

これはラーメン味プリッツと会わせてゆるキャラのパッケージで2014年7月29日に期間

限定発売されたもの。

ゆるキャラについては、ふなっしー プリッツを参照。

この抹茶味のゆるキャラは「出世大名 家康くん」で、浜松に浜松城を建てた徳川家康を

イメージしてデザインされた。

ちょんまげ部分は浜名湖名産のウナギでできている。

裏面には家康くんの情報が載っていて、ちょんまげがウナギであることや浜松城について

書かれていた。

グリコの下に「ほどよい苦味と甘さが楽しめる奥深い味わいです」と載っていた。

甘いだけでそれほど抹茶の香りはしないだろうと思っていたけれど、封を切ると意外と

しっかりした濃い抹茶の香りが広がった。

各プレッツェルは、チョコレートではない淡い緑色でコーティングされていた。

裏面はきつね色に焼けていた。

横から見ると、上半分が緑色になっていた。

香りと同じく抹茶の味がしっかりと分かったけれど、それほど苦味もなくプリッツは甘く

香ばしかった。

苦味が少なく甘味があるので、抹茶が苦手な人でも食べられると思う。
