When we're in Montreal last time, we found a new restaurant called Hippi Poutine on Saint Denis street, and I went to try a poutine there for lunch.

The employees were nice and the restaurant was clean and cozy.

There's a table football / foosball.

And a chess board.

I chose the terrace as the weather was nice.

The menu was all in French, but I knew what I was gonna get; a petit size Poutine Régulière (regular poutine).

On the other side, there're drinks and I got a Limonade Maison (homemade lemonade).

Soon a large glass of lemonade and a glass of water were brought.

The lemonade was really weak and it tasted like as if a commercially available lemonade mixed with water.

Though, the sweetness and sourness were mild and I could drink smoothly.

A bowl of salad was brought, and it's apparently a side dish for the poutine.
I just had a large bowl of salad at McDonald's about 20 minutes before, and I felt like I was eating more green than usual.

There're lightly pickled carrots and cabbage with some lettuce, and the dressing was a simple French dressing.

Poutine was mini size, but it's much larger than I thought.

The bowl was deep, too.

Fries were skinny and not thick, and they're not salted.

Cheese curds were still cold but didn't have much squeakiness.

The gravy sauce was light and not starchy, and it tasted like a mix of consomme soup, ketchup and beef stew with some shiny orange grease.

It's good, but the flavor was a bit unique to me.

前回モントリオールに来た時に、サンドニ通りにヒッピ プーティンという新しいお店を

見つけたので、今日はお昼にプーティンを食べに行ってきた。
店員は親切で、店内は綺麗で落ち着ける雰囲気だった。 店内にはテーブルフットボールやチェスが置いてあった。
店内かテラスか聞かれたので、晴れていたのでテラスに座った。

メニューは全てフランス語で書かれていたけれど、何を頼むか決めていた； プチサイズの
レギュラープーティン。
裏面には飲み物が載っていたので、自家製レモネードを頼んだ。

すぐに大きなグラスに入ったレモネードと水が出された。
レモネードはかなり薄味で、市販のレモネードを水で薄めたような味だった。
ただ、甘さや酸味が弱かったので飽きずに飲めた。

サラダが出され、プーティンに付いているものらしい。
20分ほど前にマクドナルドで大きなサラダを食べたばかりで、この日はいつもより多くの
野菜を食べているようだった。
浅漬けのニンジンとキャベツと一緒にレタスが入っていて、フレンチドレッシングが
かかっていた。

プーティンはプチサイズを頼んだのだけれど、想像していたよりも大きく、器も深さが
かなりあった。
細いポテトで、太いものではなく、塩は振られていなかった。
プーティンはまだ冷たかったけれど、歯応えはなかった。
グレービーソースはサラッとしてとろみはなく、コンソメスープ、ケチャップ、ビーフ
シチューを混ぜたような味がし、オレンジ色のツヤツヤした油が見えた。
美味しいことは美味しいのだけれど、変わった味のグレービーソースだった。
