Poutine From Poutineville Is So Far The Best
Poutineville のプーティンが、今のところ一番美味しい

When I wrote about Poutine Pizza from Pizza Hut and posted on twitter, Poutineville tweeted at me and said, "How about paying us a visit!!!" 
I'd already planned to go to Poutineville sometime, but this considerate tweet made me want to come sooner.

Today, we went to Poutineville Ontario for lunch with high expectation that this poutine would be a good one since it's one of the top 5 poutine restaurants in Montreal.
* Not Ontario state, but it's on Ontario Est Street.

When we sat at a table, a paper place mat was brought to each of us with a fork and paper napkin.
There're some interesting poutine menus but apparently they're specialties and not available always.

A laminated menu in French with a pencil were brought.

It's weird... If it's a paper menu and looked like a list to mark on, I didn't have hard time figuring out.
So I just circled on the regular price for La Poutineville.
When a person came to take our order, I just said what I'd like, so maybe I didn't have to mark anything. 
Still it's a mystery.

La Poutineville is the signature dish, and it's cheese curds, mozzarella, braised beef and red wine sauce poutine.

When this was served, I thought I had asked extra beef but it's the regular amount they put.

It looked like beef stew over potatoes and cheese.

Cheese curds were melted, fries were crispy outside but soft and moist inside, and a lot of shredded beef together was just so great.
The gravy sauce had traditional gravy taste but it also had deep and more dense flavor like beef stew.

The fries are not skinny french fries as other places used, and it's wedge potatoes.

This is my first time to have poutine without long and thin fries.

This shape was easier to eat cleanly as regular fries tend to stick out from the mouth and hard to put int properly.

So far, this poutine is the best I've ever eaten!

ピザハットのプーティンピザについてブログを書き、Twitter に載せたところ、

Poutineville のアカウントから「うちのプーティンも食べてみて！」と tweet が来た。

いつかPoutineville に行く予定ではいたけれど、この親切な tweet を見て

すぐにでも行きたくなった。

これまでに食べたプーティンのリストは以下。

「モントリオールのプーティン トップ5」に載っていたので、味に期待しながら

今日のお昼ご飯にPoutineville オンタリオ店に行った。

* オンタリオ州ではなく、Ontario Est 通りにある店舗。

席につくと、プレースマットとフォーク、紙ナプキンが運ばれてきた。

プレースマットにはプーティンやその他のメニューも載っていたけれど、

特別メニューのため、いつもあるわけではないらしい。

ラミネート加工されたフランス語のメニューと、鉛筆が出された。

なぜ鉛筆？ と戸惑いながら、 La Poutineville のレギュラー サイズの

12ドルに丸をつけた。

店員さんが注文を聞きに来た時、口頭で伝えたので、

印をつける意味があったか今でも謎。

注文したLa Poutineville はこのお店の名物で、

チーズカード、モッツァレラ、ブレイズビーフの赤ワイン煮

（牛肉に焼き目を付けた後に鍋で赤ワインと煮込んだもの）が乗ったプーティン。

プーティンが運ばれてきた時に、牛肉の量にびっくりした。

増量したかのような山盛りの牛肉が、通常の量らしい。

溶けたチーズカード、ポテトは外側がカリッとして中は柔らかく、

たっぷりの牛肉。

全て一緒に食べると「美味しい！」しか出てこない。

グレービーソースは伝統的なグレービーの味を残しつつも

ビーフシチューのような深みと香りがあるソースだった。

ここのプーティンは他店のプーティンと違って、

細長いポテトではなく、ゴロッとしたくし型のフライドポテト。

プーティンをこのポテトの形で食べたのは初めて。

きちんと口に収まるので、普通のフライドポテトよりも食べやすかった。

これまで食べたプーティンの中で、今のところPoutinvilleが一番美味しい。
