As I return to Montreal after close to a month, I had to put some poutine in my stomach, so we went to Hooters.

A list of the poutines we've tried.

Interestingly, Hooters' logo has maple leaf in it like other restaurant chains like McDonald's and Wendy's.
* HOOTERS'  "R" has a maple-shaped hole.

They have curly fries (frites en spirale) for sure and underneath, there's poutine listed.

This is something I couldn't find in Japan, and I don't remember seeing these mini sliders in NY either.
We got 4 sliders.

And of course, boneless chicken.

There're many sauces which I had no idea what they're like.

911, I guess it's lethally spicy, Samurai doesn't have any fire mark on it, so it could be teriyaki or soy sauce base sauce?
We got BBQ Epice (spicy BBQ) and it's not available in Japan.

The waitress was in black uniform, not white tank top with orange short pants, so we guessed she's one of the experienced workers there.
She memorized everything we ordered and even she refilled an empty glass of soda before we asked for.
* free refill on tap soda.

Poutine

On the menu, it says they use cheese curds but they're as soft as mozzarella.

None really had squeakiness so we're not sure if they used real cheese curds or cheese curds shaped mozzarella.

Gravy sauce was thick and tasted like canned gravy sauce.


Boneless chicken with spicy BBQ
The sauce was very good; sweet like BBQ but pretty spicy.
And I liked the breading a lot.

Japan and NY used lightly flowered fried chicken but here, they used crispy breading which wasn't too thick or too subtle so that I could enjoy the crunchiness outside and softness of the lean white meat.

Sliders
Mini cheese burgers with onion rings.

This mini burgers were pretty good.
Between the buns, there're a thick sliced pickle, beef patty and American cheese.
There's no sauce on so we added ketchup placed at the table.
The patty was cooked close to well-done medium so it's juicy and not dried.

Onion rings were skinny and cold, so it's not my favorite part of the plate.

約1ヶ月ぶりにモントリオールに戻ってきたので、そろそろプーティンを食べたいと思い、
フーターズへ行ってきた。

マクドナルドやウェンディーズのように、フーターズのロゴにも楓の模様があるのは面白い。
* HOOTERS の「R」の白抜き部分。

日本のフーターズでも人気のカーリーフライの下に、プーティンが記載されている。
日本のメニューにはミニバーガーは無く、NYで見た覚えもないので4個頼んだ。
そして、やっぱりボンレスチキン。
ソースの種類は11種類あり、名前を見たたけでは味の想像がつかないものがチラホラ。
911（日本の119番に当たる）は、きっと医者が必要なほど辛いと予想。
サムライは辛さを表す火のマークが付いていないので、照り焼きか醤油ベース？
私たちは日本には無いスパイシーバーベキューを選択。

テーブルを担当していたウェイトレスは、黒い上下のセットを着ていたので、白いタンクトップに
オレンジ色のショートパンツのウェイトレスよりも経験の長い人のはず。
注文を全て暗記し、お願いしなくても空になったソーダのお代わりを入れてくれた。
* ビン入り以外のソーダはお代わり無料

プーティン
メニューにはチーズカードを使用と書いてあるけれど、あまり歯ごたえがなく、食感は
モッツァレラチーズに近かった。
もしかしたら形をチーズカードに似せたモッツァレラで出来ているのかも。
グレービーソースは濃く、缶から出してかけただけのような味。

ボンレスチキン（スパイシーバーベキューソース）
ソースはバーベキューソースの甘味もありながら、かなり辛味もありとても美味しかった。
日本やNYで食べたボンレスチキンは、小麦粉を薄くまぶして揚げた胸肉を使っているけれど、
ここではサクサクの衣がついていて、厚すぎず薄すぎない衣のカリカリ感と柔らかい胸肉の食感の
両方が楽しめた。

ミニバーガー
小さなチーズバーガーとオニオンリングが一皿に乗っていた。
パンの間には厚切りのピクルス、牛肉100%のパティ、そしてアメリカンチーズが挟まれてていて、
ソースはかかっていないのでテーブルに置いてあったケチャップをつけた。
パティはウェルダン寄りのミディアムの焼き加減で、乾いた印象はなくジューシーだった。
添えられていたオニオンリングは細く冷えていたので残念。
