Today, I tried Five Guys' poutine.

The list of the poutine we've tried is below.

The poutine was listed in the "fries" menu board.

It's called "trousse de poutine" which means "kit of poutine" according to a translation site I used.

It's 6.79 CND dollars (before 2 types of taxes) and the most expensive poutine among the fast food restaurants we've tried.

They make fresh fries so it took them a while to call my number, but it's always good to have fryer-fresh fries.

I received a big paper bag after 5 minutes of so.

In the big paper bag with receipt stuck on held the "kit" which were a cup of gravy sauce, a pouch of cheese curds, an aluminum tray and a plastic fork at the bottom, then a small paper bag which had fries was over the "kit."

The reason they served you fries in a paper bag no matter what is the portion is big and not all the fries are put in a cup. 

As they provide a lot of fries, it was very hard to put them into the tray without making a mess.

I grabbed the cup of fries topped with some unstable fries, then poured them into the tray but I already missed a couple of fries.

And I took the paper bag and poured the rest of the fries over the fries in the tray, and again, I failed to place them nicely.

In total, I think I dropped close to 10 fries.

Also, pouring cheese curds in a pouch over the mountain of fries was more difficult as it was some sort of a balancing game like Jenga.

When I poured the gravy sauce, it smelled similar to powdered gravy sauce available in the supermarket.

Fries were as thicker as the ones served in restaurants.

Fries were as salty as they serve as a side, which means very salty.

The gravy sauce, that smelled cheap, tasted somehow very good with fries and cheese curds.

It was the most costly poutine among the fast food restaurants we've been to but it's the largest and the fries were fresh, besides I can "make" poutine at my table so that fries won't get soggy.

The way Five Guys serves is very smart and I love the way they provide "Kit of poutine."

今日はファイブ ガイズ というハンバーガー店のプーティンを食べてみた。

ファイブ ガイズ(Five Guys)とは、1986年にバージニア州アーリントン郡で誕生した

ファストフードチェーン。

これまでに食べたプーティンのリストは以下。

プーティンは "フライドポテト" の中にある、"Trousse de poutine" と書かれているもの。

どんな意味か調べてみたら、ネットでは「プーティン キット」と訳されていた。

値段は6.79 カナダドル（2種類の課税前）で、これまで食べたファストフード店の中で

一番値段が高い。

注文後にポテトを揚げていたので、商品が手に入るまで少し時間がかかったものの、

揚げ立てを食べられるのはとても嬉しい。

5分ほど待つと番号が呼ばれ、大きな紙袋を渡された。

レシートのついた大きな紙袋の中には、まさに「プーティン キット」が入っていた。

グレービーソースが入った容器、チーズカードの小袋、

プラスチックのフォークがアルミトレーに納められていた。

この「キット」の上部にはポテトが入った小さ目の紙袋が乗せられていた。

ちなみに、ファイブ ガイズではポテトは必ず紙袋に入っている。

理由は、カップに収まらない量のポテトが提供されるので、

溢れた分をキャッチするために紙袋が使われている（上部の写真参照）。

ポテトの量が尋常ではないため、アルミトレーに入れるのも一苦労。

まずはポテトが入ったカップを掴み、上に乗っている不安定なポテトも一緒に

アルミトレーへ移したけれど、すでにポテトを数本落とした。

次に紙袋を持ち、残りのポテトをアルミトレーに移したポテトの上に乗せようとしたけれど、

やっぱりまた何本か落とした。

結局、合計10本くらいのポテトを落としてしまった。

てんこ盛りのポテトの上に小袋に入ったチーズカードを乗せるのは、

ジェンガやバランスゲームの域に達する難しさ。

グレービーソースを上からかけている時、

スーパーで販売されているパウダー状のグレービーソースに

香りが近いと思った。

ポテトにはサイドメニューとして出されるのと同じ量の塩が振られていて、

かなり塩辛かった。

安っぽい香りのグレービーソースは、ポテトとチーズカードと一緒に食べると

なぜかとても美味しく感じたので不思議。

これまでのファストフード店の中で一番高価なプーティンだったけれど、

量が最も多く、ポテトはいつも揚げ立てなのがすごく良いと思った。

また、「プーティン キット」によって席でプーティンを作ることができるため、

ポテトがグレービーソースでびちょびちょになることがないので

とても気の利いた提供方法。
