Today's second poutine was from Wendy's.
We don't see any Wendy's nearby so we stopped by after trying McDonald's Buffalo Chicken Poutine.

So far, we've tried these below.

McDonald's (Buffalo Chicken Poutine)

Apostrophe of Wendy's logo is maple leaf shaped.

It's so Canada.

We didn't get any combo so that I don't remember how much to upgrade the fries to poutine, but regular poutine is 3.99 CND dollars before tax.

Again, it's outside of Montreal, so only one type of tax was added.

The potuine was served like this.

In a black plastic tray without a cover. 

Maybe to-go gets a cover with it?

Good amount of cheese curds were poured over fries with gravy sauce.

Cheese curds had the characteristic chewiness and my husband saw them taking out cheese curds from a bag which brand is used for Five Guys and Burger King, so it's definitely real cheese curds.

The fries were salty and the gravy sauce was also salty.

The gravy sauce had weird and bitter flavor which we couldn't figure out what it was coming from.

To me, the starchy texture and sourness reminded me of Okonomiyaki (sauce or Yakisoba sauce.

Overall, it's very salty and the gravy sauce was mediocre so I'm not gonna order again.

家の近所で見かけないため、マックのバッファローチキンプーティンを食べてから、

ウェンディーズに立ち寄った。

McDonald's (Buffalo Chicken Poutine)

ウェンディーズのロゴのアポストロフィ部分が、楓の葉の白抜きになっている所がカナダらしい。

ウェンディーズでもセットではなく単品のプーティンを注文。

セットのポテトをプーティンに変更する値段は覚えていないけれど、単品の場合は

税抜3.99 カナダドル。

プーティンはプラスチックの黒いトレーに入れられていて、蓋は付いていなかった。

テイクアウトの場合は蓋が付くのだと思う。

ポテトの上には沢山のチーズカードがグレービーソースと一緒に乗っていた。

チーズカードはあの独特の噛みごたえがあり、旦那が「ファイブガイズやバーガーキングの

チーズカードと同じブランドの袋から出していた」と言っていたので、本物のチーズカードが

使われているはず。

ポテトは塩辛く、グレービーソースもしょっぱい。

グレービーソースには変な苦さがあったけれど、何の味かは分からなかった。

個人的にはドロッとした感じや酸味がお好み焼きソース、やきそばソースに似ていたと思う。

いずれにせよ、しょっぱ過ぎるのとグレービーソースが美味しくないので、再注文は無い。
