"Mâche!" is one of the best reviewed poutineries in Montreal, and also they serve reasonable poutines (classic poutine is 6 bucks before tax).

Burger Bar

I got there around 4:30 PM and there're a group of 4, another group of 2, and one person.

There're maybe 15 tables in the restaurant.

The restaurant was very clean; no food on the floor or on the chairs.

As soon as I walked in and sat, a waitress came and provided a menu.

From poutines, I chose classic poutine.

My poutine was served pretty quickly, in like 5 minutes, and I was surprised to see how big the stainless bowl was.

I didn't measure the size, but I think it's 20cm (7.8 inch) in diameter.

Fries were unsalted and naturally sweet.

I enjoyed the crispiness since the gravy wasn't poured all over the fries.

Lots of tough and squeaky cheese curds (my favorite texture) were on the top and sweet and salty light textured gravy sauce, which taste diluted BBQ sauce, was at the bottom too.

So, fries at the bottom were soggy by the time I reached there, but at least everything in the container was kept warm thanks to the metal bowl.

I was very satisfied with the fries which I could taste the sweetness of the potatoes and the strong squeaky cheese curds.

The poutine was very delicious, the waitress came back to check the plate, and came to pour more water to the glass.

Great service even for a cheap dish.

Burger Bar

お店に着いたのは16:30頃で、4人組、2人組、1人のお客さんがいた。

15席ほどある店内に入り、空いている席に座ると、すぐにメニューが出された。

店内はとても綺麗で、床にも椅子にも食べくずは落ちていなかった。

先に何か飲むかと聞かれたので水をもらい、クラシックプーティンを注文した。

5分程度でプーティンが出て来た。

ステンレスのボウルに入っていて、値段の割には量が多くて驚いた。

定規で計ってはいなけれど、ボウルの直径は20センチくらいあったと思う。

ポテトに塩は振られておらず、ジャガイモそのものの甘さがあった。

グレービーソースに埋もれていないので、サクサクした食感も楽しめた。

私の大好きな、固めで歯ごたえがあるチーズカードが上に沢山乗っていて、BBQソースを薄く

したような甘さとしょっぱさのあるサラッとしたグレービーソースは底の部分に多く入っていた。

そのため、1番下にたどり着いた時にはポテトはぐしょっとしていたけれど、金属製の器のおかげで

最後まで温かい状態が保たれていた。

ジャガイモの甘味を感じられるポテト、キュキュッとした食感チーズカードに大満足。

味を確認しにウェイトレスが回ってきたり、水を継ぎ足したりと、接客も丁寧。

しかも安い。
