Until we got a sheet of coupons from Harvey's in the mail box, we'd never heard of the burger chain before.
It's the second largest Canadian-established restaurant chain in Canada following Tim Hortons, and the fourth biggest burger chain in the country according to the research I did.

They have poutine, so we decided to go and try.

My husband looked it up and found that this chain has French menu only, but the cashier could speak English so we didn't have trouble ordering what we wanted.

This chain is similar to Subway, so you can choose vegetables and sauce over the transparent counter case, thus it takes a little bit of time to get it ready.
We added 1.99 CND dollars to upgrade the fries to poutine which is a part of meal of burger my husband got.
To prepare potuine is pretty easy since they only have to put gravy sauce and cheese curds over fries, and my poutine was already set while 3 customers were waiting before us.
And when I got my poutine, the cheese curds were mostly melted.

It's a beautiful thing.

Fries were slightly thicker than other fast food chains, cheese curds were real but melted, and the gravy sauce tasted similar to that of True Burger Co. as it's got weird bitterness and some sort of chicken stock flavor.

The way they created is authentic but I didn't like the flavor of the gravy sauce.
My husband said the beef patty was like gummy; it's char-grilled but maybe the quality of the beef patty wasn't that good.

To upgrade to poutine from fries: 1.99 CND dollars.



郵便受けにハーヴィーズのクーポン券が入っているのを見るまで、そのバーガーチェーンを
聞いたことがなかった。
調べてみると、ティム・ホートンズに次いで2番目に大きなカナダ生まれのレストランチェーンで、
カナダにおけるバーガーチェーンでは4番目の規模とのこと。

このハーヴィーズにもプーティンがあるらしいので、食べてみることにした。

旦那がネットで調べた通り、店舗にはフランス語のメニューのみだったけれど、店員が英語も

話せたので問題なく注文できた。

このお店ではサブウェイのように対面式で野菜やソースを選択するので、少し時間がかかる。

旦那のハンバーガーセットに１.99 カナダドル追加してポテトからプーティンに変更した。

プーティンはポテトにグレービーソースをかけて、チーズカードを乗せるだけなので、3人ほど前の

人が野菜を選んでいる時には既に出来上がっていたので、出された頃にはチーズが溶けていた。

プーティンのカップには「あなたの思い通りに作られた」と書かれていて、これはハンバーガーの

野菜やソースに関する広告文章なのだと思う。

プーティンのポテトは、他のファストフードに比べると少し太目。
本物のチーズカードを使っていたけれど、ほとんど溶けていた。
グレービーソースの妙な苦味とチキンスープのような味が、トゥルーバーガーのグレービーソースに
似ていた。

プーティンを作る要素は全て満たしていたけれど、グレービーソースが不味い。
旦那が食べたハンバーガーはパティが美味しくなかったらしい。
炭火焼きが原因でなのはなく、ビーフパティそのものの品質が良くなかったのかも。

ポテトからプーティンへの変更は1.99 カナダドル。
