Tim Hortons is a Canadian fast-food chain, based in Ontario, and it's well-known for coffee and doughnuts.
In 2002, the sales surpassed McDonald's Canada, and in 2005, the Tim Hortons reached 22.6% of all fast-food industry revenue in Canada.

A multinational fast-food chain, Tim Hortons has now Red Velvet Muffin!

Neither of us knew Tim Hortons ever had Red Velved muffin and when I looked through articles, I didn't find much useful source.

But it seems like they brought 3 types of Red Velvet dessert to the U.S. market in the first quarter in 2012.

This is Tim Hortons Red Velvet Muffin from a store in Montreal.

On the top, there's a hole to put cream in.

From the side.
It's risen high and looked like a big red mushroom.

Inside, the cream wasn't reaching at the bottom.
First I thought they'd used frosting same as cupcakes, but it's sweet and slightly runny cream.
As I'm used to having red velvet cake or cupcake with a lot of frosting on the top or the side, I wish this had more cream in it.

As you can see, there're some chocolate chips and it added sweetness and also some chunky texture to the soft muffin.

* Not sure if it's a limited or a regular product.

このドーナツショップでレッドベルベットマフィンを旦那が発見＆購入。
* レッドベルベットは、赤いスポンジ生地のお菓子。主にケーキ、マフィン。
旦那も私も、ティム・ホートンズでレッドベルベットがあることさえ知らなかったので、
ネットでいつ発売されたのかを検索してみたが、
全く有益な情報は得られず、なんとか見つけた記事には2012年第一四半期に
アメリカ市場で展開されたらしい。

レッドベルベットマフィンの上には穴が開いていて、
クリームを入れた跡が見えた。
横から見ると、大きな赤いキノコみたい。

食べる前は、カップケーキのようにフロスティングが入ってるかと思っていたけれど、
実際は甘く緩いクリームだった。
底までは注入されず、クリームが入っていたのは真ん中まで。
レッドベルベットケーキやマフィンはフロスティングが上部や側面に
沢山乗っているイメージが強いので、
このマフィンにももっとクリームが入ってたら良かったな。
生地にはチョコレートチップが入っていた。
