We went to Pub Quartier Latin to try the poutine.
I knew this pub serves poutine as they participated in the Poutine Week.

We got there almost 9PM and as it's Saturday night, it's pretty busy.
We could seat a table without waiting and got menus.
They only have French menu but I knew I was gonna get poutine, so the language didn't really matter.

I ordered "Aged Cheddar" called Cheddar Vieilli in French, which I thought it's classic one as it's written on the top in poutines.

It took them about 15 minutes to bring us food...

Cheddar Vieilli
It's served on a flat plate and the amount of the fries was pretty big.

Fries were not fully covered by the gravy sauce so that I could enjoy some crispy parts.
The gravy sauce was pretty sweet and watery, so I didn't really like the flavor or the texture.

However, the cheese cubes weren't cheese curds and they're just white cheddar cheese.
They had no squeakiness or chewiness and were just soft square cheddar cheese.

In my thought, "without cheese curds, it can't be called 'poutine' " so I don't think I'd go there to eat the poutine.

このバー今年のプーティン ウィークに参加していたので、プーティンを出していると知っていた。

21時頃にお店に着くと、土曜日の夜とあってお店は混んでいた。
席にすぐに座ることができ、メニューをもらった。
このお店ではフランス語のメニューのみしかないけれど、プーティンを頼むつもりでいたので
特に問題なし。

プーティンの欄の1番上にあるので、クラシックプーティンだと思われる「Cheddar Vieilli」
（日本語だと「熟成チェダー」）を注文した。

食べ物が出てくるまでに15分ほどかかった。遅い。。。

Cheddar Vieilli
プーティンは平らなお皿に盛り付けられていて、ポテトの量はかなり多かった。
グレービーソースがポテト全体を覆っていたわけではないので、サクサクした状態のポテトも
食べることができた。
グレービーソースはかなり甘く水っぽくて、味も質感もあまり好みではなかった。
上に乗っていたのはチーズはチーズカードではなく、ホワイトチェダーチーズだった。
単にチェダーチーズが四角く切られたもので、チーズカードの歯ごたえはなかった。

「チーズカードが乗っていないものは、プーティンではない」と思っているので、プーティンを食べに
再訪することはない。
