99¢ Fresh Pizza (57th & Broadway)

Today, I had a dollar pizza for the first time form "99¢ Fresh Pizza" on 57th and Broadway.
I've been always interested in trying what it would taste like while other shops offer a slice of pizza is around 3 dollars in the city.
Though the sign says, "99¢," it's a dollar per piece and toppings are 50¢ each.
This shop was much cleaner than I thought and there're chili peppers, tabasco, grated cheese and a bottle of Sriracha, I think.
We got a plain pizza, and it's in the showcase and it's not oven-fresh hot but still warm enough to make me excited to try it.
The pizza looked pale, like white bread, but it had decent amount of sauce and cheese.
The dough was soft entirely yet I could fold it.
The bottom wasn't crispy and lightly browned, and it didn't have any chewy texture or flavor like made with yeast so I thought they might have used baking soda instead.
They need to proof the dough if they use yeast, and to mass-produce pizzas and cut time, space and labor, they may not use yeast.
Cheese didn't have much flavor or texture, and it's like, "just some flabby things on the top." Tomato sauce was sweet and had a subtle sourness, and I didn't taste any spice.
I don't think it's that bad for a dollar pizza, but I don't feel like paying more than 2 bucks.

今日、初めて1ドル ピザをブロードウェイ57丁目にある「99セント フレッシュ ピザ」で
食べてみた。
市内では1スライスが約3ドルで販売されているため、1ドルのピザがどんな味かずっと
気になっていた。
看板には99セントと載っていたけれど、実際は1スライス1ドルで、トッピングは1種類に
つき追加50セント。
店内は思ったよりもずっと綺麗で、チリペッパー、タバスコ、粉チーズ、シラチャらしき
ボトルがあった。
プレーンピザを頼むとショーケースから出された。
焼きたてとは違い熱々ではなかったものの、まだ温かさは残っていて美味しそうだった。

生地は全体的に柔らかかったものの、畳むことはできた。
底はカリッとした食感はなく淡く焼き色がついていて、イーストのもちもちした食感や
香りはなかったので、ベーキングソーダで作ったような食感だった。
イーストを使うと発酵させる必要があるので、時間、場所、手間を省いて量産するために
イーストは使っていないのかもしれない。
チーズは特に味がなく、「上に乗ったブヨブヨした物体」という食感だった。
トマトソースは甘めで少しだけ酸味があり、スパイスなどが使われている風味は特に
なかった。
1ドルにしては悪くないピザだったと思うものの、2ドル以上は払いたくない味だった。
