I went to Lafayette Hot Dog near Station Papineau.

I could sit when I walked in, but the waitress in charge of my table "couldn't see me" so that I was sitting there and waiting without menu for 5 minutes...

Menu

Like Greenspot, they had lots of menu and the interior looked like a diner.

The red phone booth was a showcase of cakes.

I got a petit poutine, but the plate was very large and I thought it's a mistake.

But it'd be either I pay less or more, so I started eating.

Fries were medium thick, lightly crispy but mainly soft.

Cheese curds were cold but had not much squeakiness except large pieces.

The gravy sauce smelled like curry, and it had cumin and turmeric flavor besides sourness like vinegar.

The light sourness was refreshing for the fries, but it's a bit too unique to taste vinegary curry.

They seemed to understand English ok, but they kept talking to me in French so I listened to what them speaking in French and I answered in English.

They had wide range of dishes on the menu and they're relatively reasonable. I paid at the table and the waitress gave me change on site, which was quick and convenient.

パピヌー駅の近くにあるラファイエット ホットドッグへ行った。

入店後すぐに座ることができたけれど、私のテーブル担当だったウェイトレスが私に気が
つかなかったとのことで、5分間メニューもないまま待つことになった。

グリーンスポットのようにメニューの種類が多く、店内もダイナーのようだった。
赤い電話ボックスはショーケースになっていて、ケーキが並んでいた。

プーティンのプチサイズを頼んだけれど、お皿が大きかったので間違いかと思った。
ただ、支払う金額が違うだけなので気にせず食べることにした。

ポテトは中太で、軽いサクサク感はあったものの全体的に柔らかかった。
チーズカードは冷たかったけれど、大きな粒以外はあまり歯応えがなかった。
グレービーソースはカレーのような香りがし、クミンとターメリックの味と一緒にお酢の
ような酸味もあった。
軽い酸味がポテトをさっぱりさせていたとは言え、酸っぱいカレーは奇妙だった。

英語も話せるようだったけれど、ずっとフランス語で話してきたので、フランス語で話を
聞いて英語で答えることにした。

料理の種類がとても多く、値段も比較的お手頃だった。
席で会計時、ウェイトレスがその場でお釣りを出してくれたので、素早く便利だった。
