Poutine From Centre Bell

We went to see a NHL game Montreal Canadiens at Centre Bell, or Bell Centre, in Montreal last night against Washington Capitals.

We saw a concession on the right side after entering Centre Bell and they had poutine so we ordered one.

Fries were thick and light colored, there're generous amount of cheese curds and good amount of gravy sauce, too.

The bowl was a bit smaller than my hand.
The fries were fresh and they smelled like peanuts so maybe they're using peanuts oil or at least clean oil which isn't used over and over.

The fries weren't twice fried as they only had light crispiness outside.
The gravy sauce was not too starchy or salty, and it tasted like consomme flavored gravy sauce with black pepper.
Some cheese curds had some squeakiness.

I though it's a decent poutine for the quality, quantity and the speed they served us.

昨晩、モントリオールにあるベル・センターでモントリオール・カナディアンズ対
ワシントン・キャピタルズのアイスホッケーの試合を見てきた。
ベル・センターに入ってすぐ右手に売店があり、プーティンも売っていたので1個買った。

ポテトは太めで淡い揚げ色で、沢山のチーズカードと丁度良い量のグレービーソースが
かかっていた。
容器は手よりも少し小さいサイズだった。
ポテトは揚げたてでピーナッツのような香りがしたので、ピーナッツオイルを使っている
のかもしれない。
もしくは使い古しではない綺麗な油で揚げているのだと思う。

ポテトの外側は少しサクッとしていた程度なので、2度揚げではなさそうだった。
グレービーソースはドロドロしておらず、塩辛さもなくて、コンソメ味のグレービー
ソースに黒胡椒が入ったような味だった。
いくつかのチーズカードは、まだキュキュッとした歯応えが残っていた。

質、量、提供までの時間を考えると、なかなか良いプーティンだった。
