This is the last item I had from Burger King in Puerto Rico other than Mallorca de Mantequilla and BK Donas, and it’s called “Hashfries.”

It’s a new item launched on maybe around October 24, 2014, as Burger King Puerto Rico Facebook announced it’s a new item.

When I ordered other 2 times, it’s still breakfast hour but an employee said she could serve this item even before the breakfast period was over, so I could luckily get it.

“Con queso derretido y trocitos de tocineta” means “with melted cheese and bacon bits.”

And “crujientes” means crunchy.

For regular combo, extra 1 dollar, for medium, 50 cents, and for large, it’s free to upgrade the fries into this Hashfries.

* As a single item, it's 1.99 dollars.

It's stored in a box.

Handwritten "HFB" maybe "HashFries Bacon"? 

When I first saw the ads, it looked not appetizing as I had no idea what it really was, but the actual item looked tasty though usually ads look way too perfect.

Hashries was waffle fries with cheese and bacon bits on top, like the ads explained.

A generous amount of bacon bits was poured and they had crunchy and soft parts, and bacon added a nice saltiness.
Melted cheese tasted like "Cheese Whiz."
Waffle fries were crispy and the batter had some spicy flavor so that they tasted good as they were.

これはプエルトリコのバーガーキングでマヨルカ デ マンテキーヤ、BK ドナスと一緒に

頼んだもので、「ハッシュフライ」という商品。

バーガーキング プエルトリコのFacebookページを見ると、2014年10月24日にこの商品の

写真が載っていたので、この頃に新発売されたのだと思う。

他の2商品を注文した時はまだ朝食メニューの時間だったけれど、店員が朝食時間でも

作れると言ってくれたので幸運にも頼むことができた。

“Con queso derretido y trocitos de tocineta” は「溶けたチーズとベーコンビッツ」、

crujientes はサクサクしたという意味。

セットメニューには1ドル追加、Mサイズのセットには50セント追加、Lサイズのセット
には無料でポテトをこのハッシュフライに変更できる。

HFBと手書きされた箱に入っていて、HFBはハッシュフライ ベーコンの頭文字なのかも。

最初に広告写真を見た時は何なのか分からず美味しそうに見えなかったけれど、実物は

広告よりも美味しそうだった。

普段は広告よりも劣った商品が出て来ることが多いので驚いた。

ハッシュフライは、広告の説明通りワッフルフライにチーズとベーコンビッツがかかって
いるものだった。

カリッとした部分と柔らかい部分がある小さなベーコンがたっぷり入っていて、程よい
塩気を足していた。
溶けたチーズはチーズソースの「チーズ ウィズ」のような味だった。
ワッフルポテトはサクサクし、衣には少し辛味のあるスパイスが使われていて、そのまま
食べても美味しかった。
