CMを見て チョバニ ギリシャ ヨーグルト ピーチ を食べてみた

While watching Super Bowl XLVIII, there're several interesting commercials.
And to watch the commercials is a kind of important part to watch Super Bowl to me.
However, I was in Montreal at that time so that I'd missed many American commercials.

Chobani is one of them.

Chobani Inc. was founded in 2005 when a Turkish Immigrant Hamdi Ulukaya bought a plant in New Berlin, NY, of which used to be owned by Kraft Foods.
Chobani's big appeal is "no preservatives, no artificial flavors, or no artificial sweeteners.

"Everyone deserves delicious, natural, preservative-free food. Even bears."
It's on their HP with a hungry bear which appeared on the CM that I put link above.

I remember seeing the yogurt in grocery shops and I went to CVS and bought one.
They had several kinds of "Fruit On The Bottom" (on HP you can find 16 flavors for this category and there're many more varieties of products) and some had 2% milk fat in it so I went for 0% fat this time and chose peach flavor.

As it's Winter Olympics season, on the cup, it says "Naturally powering team USA."

And on the lid, it has an US flag with Olympics' symbol with "Proud sponsor."

Opening the lid, I saw thick white yogurt on the lid.

I scooped the content from the bottom, then there're a lot of peaches.

And I saw more peaches at the bottom.

I mixed the yogurt well and I thought the yogurt was as thick as other Greek yogurt.
As the peaches were juicy, soft, and moist, yogurt got a little bit runnier but still it didn't drop from a spoon for 2-3 seconds as if it's soft peak.

I liked this yogurt a lot.
The taste of the peach was sweet but no artificial sugary taste  in it.
Yogurt was slightly sour but thanks to peaches, it's mainly sweet.
The thick and heavy texture was great since I feel like I am eating, not swallowing like regular soft yogurt I eat.

スーパーボウルXLVIII の途中で流れるCMは、毎年YouTubeにまとめ映像が
アップされるほど有名で、試合もだけれどスーパーボウルのCMも楽しみの一つ。
ただ、今回はモントリオールにいたため、（共通のCMはあるけれど）
アメリカのコマーシャルはそれほど流れず、見逃したものが多い。

その一つが「チョバニ」という商品のCM。

チョバニ （Chobani）はChobani Inc. が製造するヨーグルトの名前で、
Chobani Inc. は2005年にトルコ移民のHamdi Ulukaya氏が
ニューヨーク州のニューバーリン（New Berlin）という街で工場を買ったことが始まり。
この工場は昔、クラフト・フーズに所有されていた。
チョバニの売りは、保存料・人工香料・人工甘味料を全く使用しないこと。

「人々は美味しくて、自然の、防腐剤不使用の食べ物を摂る価値がある。熊にさえも。」
これはHPに載っているフレーズで、上部リンクのCMに出てくる熊がいる。

何軒かある近所のスーパーで見かけたことがあるので、CVSに行って買ったきた。
店舗には”Fruit On The Bottom" という「フルーツが底にある」という種類があった。
HPを見ると、全部で16種類の味があり、Chobaniからは出しているヨーグルトの種類は
非常に多いことが分かった。
この"Fruit On The Bottom" シリーズには乳脂肪が2%のものもあったので、
今回は乳脂肪0%のピーチを買った。

今は冬季オリンピック期間中なので、カップや蓋には応援メッセージ、
スポンサーであることなどが記載されている。

蓋をめくると、べとっとしたヨーグルトがくっついていた。
スプーンを底まで刺すと、ピーチが沢山入っていた。
ピーチとヨーグルトを混ぜていると、ヨーグルトが他のギリシャヨーグルト同様に
粘度が高いことが分かった。
ピーチは柔らかく、みずみずしく、ジューシーなため、ヨーグルトは段々と緩くなった。
それでも、スプーンから落ちるまでに3秒ほどかかり、落ち方や固さは8部立ての
生クリームのようだった。

このヨーグルトはすごく美味しかった。
ピーチは人工甘味料の味がせず、自然は甘さ。
ヨーグルトは少し酸っぱい気がしたけれど、ピーチと混ざって全体としては甘い。
ねとっと重たい食感のヨーグルトが特に良いと思った。
どうしても普通のヨーグルトだと柔らかくて飲みこんでいる状態に近いので、
これは「食べている」と感じられる食感でとても良かった。
