Poutine From Smoke's Poutinerie

Smoke's Poutinerie is a famous Canadian poutine shop who holds World Poutine Eating Championship, but I'd never got a chance to visit any of the branches.
When I was in California and hanging out with my friends, they took me to a branch in Berkeley.
Well-known icon of the shop.
Inside of the shop was filled with a lot of the iconic faces with different clothes and poses.
Menu
I got a traditional poutine with meal size, which was between snack and wow sizes.
In about 5-10 minutes, the poutine was ready.
The box was red and black checks like the inside of the shop.
And there's the face again.
The fries were thick and skins on.
They cooked the fries very well and the outside was crispy and the inside was soft and moist.
The cheese curds were soft and didn't have squeakiness.
According to the menu board, they use Wisconsin cheese curds, not from Canada.
We've tried cheese curds from many places and learned that the best cheese curds are in Victoriaville in Quebec.
The gravy sauce was lightly starchy and it's ordinary brown gravy, but I didn't like the rosemary they added.
It reminded me of Dirty Dogs.

コンテストを主催している。
カリフォルニアで友達に会った時、バークレーにある支店に連れて行ってくれた。
トラディショナル プーティンのミールサイズを選んだ。
これはスナックとワオ サイズの中間の大きさだった。
注文してから5〜10分ほどでプーティンが出来上がった。
紙箱は店内と同じ赤と黒のチェック模様で、店名と顔が載っていた。
ポテトは太いカットで、皮が付いていた。
外側はサクサクして内側はしっとり柔らかく、とても美味しく揚がっていた。
チーズカードは柔らかく、キュキュットした歯ごたえはなかった。
メニューボードを見るとウィスコンシンのチーズカードを使っていて、カナダのものでは
なかった。
これまでに色々な場所のチーズカードを食べ比べた結果、1番美味しいのはケベック州の
ヴィクトリアヴィルのものだと分かった。
グレービーソースは少しとろみがあり、よくある茶色のグレービーだったけれど、ローズ
マリーが入っていてあまり好きではなかった。
ダーティードッグスのプーティンに似ていた。
プーティン（ミールサイズ）： 6.99ドル（税抜）
これまでに食べたプーティンは以下。
