Campo Chicken Poutine From Taverne F
Taverne Fのカンポ チキン プーティン

We went to Taverne F, which sits next to Musée d'Art Contemporain de Montréal (MACM).
I've been interested in both box-shaped restaurants for a while, and Teverne F is one of them.
Taverne F is a Portuguese-inspired restaurant and they serve "Campo Chicken Poutine" for La Poutine Week.
The menu was a paper table place mat, and they have 3 for 21 dollars set.
As there's no special poutine mentioned, I just got the Campo Chicken Poutine and Pastéis de Nata for dessert.
Soon some bread and olive oil were served.
Campo Chicken Poutine
It's homemade fries, pulled Portuguese chicken, cheese curds, São Jorge cheese and homemade chicken sauce.
My husband had this the day before, and he said my chicken was much larger than his.
Cheese curds were medium size and they're all squeaky.
Many of the fries were covered in the sauce so that only some of them had crispy.
Pulled chicken was a mix of dark and white meat.
Chicken sauce was sweet, sour, and salty with a hint of tomato.
The thigh meat on the top was seasoned with some spices and cilantro, and it did't smell that bad thanks to them.
Pastéis de Nata
It's a set of two custard cream filling tarts.
On the wooden board, there's caramel sauce and they're topped with cinnamon.
The tart dough was crispy and it's made with flaky pie sheets so that when I cut it with a knife, it made fine and crispy sound.
The custard cream filling inside was smooth and runny.
It's lightly sweetened and subtly bitter caramel sauce went well.
Cinnamon was a bit too strong for me but I liked these mini sweet tarts more than the poutine.

箱型のレストランで、前から興味があったお店の1つだった。
レストランは大きなガラスの窓と天井で、自然光が降り注いでいた。
Taverne Fはポルトガル料理をアレンジしたお店で、プーティンウィーク期間中は「カンポ
チキン プーティン」を出している。
メニューはテーブルの紙マットに載っていて、3皿で21ドルというセットもあった。
ただ、プーティンは記載されていなかったので、カンポ チキン プーティンとパステイス・
デ・ナタをデザートに頼んだ。
すぐにパンとオリーブオイルが出された。
カンポ チキン プーティン
ポテト、ポルトガルチキン、チーズカード、サン・ジョルジュ チーズ、自家製チキン
ソースをかけたものだった。
前日に旦那が同じものを頼んだのだけれど、私のチキンの方がもっと大きいと言って
いた。
チーズカードは中くらいの大きさで、どれも歯ごたえがあった。
多くのポテトはソースがかかっていたので、ほんの一部だけがサクサクしていた。
ほぐした鶏肉はモモ肉と胸肉の両方だった。
チキンソースは甘酸っぱく、塩気があり、トマトのような味もした。
上に乗っていたモモ肉はスパイスでよく味付けされていて、パクチーもかかっていたので
モモ肉の臭みはなかった。
パステイス・デ・ナタ
これはカスタードクリーム入りタルトで、2個セットだった。
板の上にはキャラメルソースが塗ってあり、上からシナモンがかけてあった。
タルトはパイ生地で出来ていたので、ナイフで切ると軽くサクサク、パリパリと音を
立てていた。
カスタードクリームのフィリングは滑らかでさらっとしていた。
甘さが控えめで、少し苦味のあるキャラメルソースと良く合っていた。
シナモンが少し強かったけれど、プーティンよりもこのタルトの方が美味しかった。
