Good Morning Poutine From Kashkaval Garden

We went to Kashkaval Garden for brunch today for the first time, and we enjoyed some fondue and poutine.
Menu
I ordered Good Morning Poutine and my husband got Classic Fondue with Vegetable & Fruit Plate.
Soon the little fuel was brought and the staff joked, "Please don't eat the blue jello."
Good Morning Poutine
"Roasted potatoes, gravy, cheese curds, pork belly topped with a fried egg, served with a side salad."
When I read the description, I was thinking I'd be getting squeaky cheese curds, but as soon as I saw the plate, I knew it'd not have the heavenly texture that I love.
As you can see, it seemed to have baked before serving, and the cheese curds were completely melted and stringy.
Though they're mainly soft and chewy, some had a little squeakiness.
Instead of fried potatoes, they used roasted potatoes so that I thought it's much lighter.
I missed the crunchy surface of fried potatoes, but these nicely roasted potatoes were soft and moist inside, and they're quite good.
The gravy had garlic scent when it's served, and the flavor was much stronger than I thought.
It had nice saltiness but it's so chunky, which I have no idea what they were (maybe onions?), and not that velvety or creamy but watery.
There're pork bellies and they're cured and absurd the sauce.
Some pieces had fatty skin and some swine-odor that I'm sensitive about, so I had made 1/3 of the contents and left the rest on the side.
The fried egg was cooked nicely and the egg white was chewy and the yolk was still runny partially.
Side Salad had arugula, lettuce and cherry tomatoes, and the dressing had a little sourness.
Classic Fondue
It's a mix of nutty gruyere and pungent raclette.
Cheese fondue was served in a cast iron pot with bread.
Vegetable & Fruit Plate
There're broccoli, carrots, tomatoes, red and yellow bell peppers, green peppers, cucumbers, green and red apples and grapes.
The cheese was fragrant and I noticed sharp flavor of raclette clearer than the nutty gruyere.
I felt the amount of cheese they put was a bit too little, but for one person's portion, I guess it's good enough.
They served a basket full of bread and as carb-lover, I was very happy about it.

We got there a bit before 2 PM, and it seemed the brunch peak had passed so that we could sit immediately.

Good Morning Poutine

As you can see, it seemed to have baked before serving, and the cheese curds were completely melted and stringy.

初めてカシュカバルガーデンに行き、フォンデュとプーティンをブランチに食べた。
メニュー
私はグッドモーニング プーティン、旦那はクラシックフォンデュ、野菜＆果物の
プレートを頼んだ。
すぐにフォンデュ用の燃料が出され、店員が「これはフォンデュではないですよ」と
冗談で言っていた。
グッドモーニング プーティン
「ローストポテト、グレービー、チーズカード、ポークベリー、目玉焼きに、サイド
サラダ付き」
説明を読んでキュキュッとした歯ごたえのあるチーズカードを期待していたのだけれど、
料理を出されてすぐに私の望んでいた食感ではないことが分かった。
見ての通りオーブンで焼かれていて、チーズカードは完全に溶けていて糸を引いていた。
全体的に柔らかかったものの、歯ごたえが残っているものもあった。
フライドポテトではなくローストポテトだったので、ずっしりとした油の重たさがなく
食べやすかった。
フライドポテトのサクサクした食感がなかったけれど、ポテトは柔らかくしっとりとして
なかなか美味しかった。
出された時からニンニクの香りがし、グレービーはかなり強いニンニク味だった。
塩気があって美味しかったのだけれど、ゴロゴロしたもの（タマネギ？）が入っていて
とろみはなく、水っぽかった。
ポークベリーは塩漬けにされていて、ソースを良く吸っていた。
いくつかは脂肪がたっぷりの皮がついていて、私が苦手な豚肉くささがあったので、
全体の3分の1程度を食べて残りは端に寄せた。
目玉焼きは丁度良く火が通っていて、白身はぷりっとし、黄身は柔らかい部分が残って
いた。
サイドサラダはルッコラ、レタス、ミニトマトが入っていて、ドレッシングは少し酸味が
あった。

ナッツのような香りがするグリュイエールと、ピリッとしたラクレットを混ぜたもの。
チーズフォンデュは鋳鉄の鍋に入って出され、パンが添えられていた。
野菜＆果物のプレート
ブロッコリー、人参、トマト、赤・黄パプリカ、ピーマン、キュウリ、青・赤リンゴ、
ブドウが入っていた。
チーズは香りが良く、ラクレットのシャープな味がナッツのようなグリュイエールよりも
はっきりとあった。
チーズの量は少ないように感じたけれど、1人分と考えれば丁度良かったのかもしれない。
パンはカゴいっぱいに入っていて、炭水化物が大好きな私には嬉しい量だった。
