Oahu Stand

My mom found a new restaurant called "Oahu Stand" back in fall of 2015, and on a weekend, we went there.
However, the Hawaiian restaurant was closed for a private event and we re-visited there the other day.
(There's only a piece of paper on the door, so if you plan to visit on a specific day, it may be better to call them to see if they're open.)
The exterior seemed like a factory because it's silver and square with lots of parking space.
It opens at 11:30 AM every day for lunch, and when we got there11:29 AM, the door was open but nobody was at the reception desk with "closed" sign.
Though it passed 11:30 AM, still no one was at the front and we slowly walked into the dining area, then there're all the staff standing and chatting.
Unlike the outside, the inside was bright, simple, relaxing, and spacious.
Lunch Menu
I chose Original Loco Moco from Course, which comes with a choice of mini drink, mini salad, soup and mini dessert.
Oolong Tea
Soon, oolong tea was served but the glass was not mini, it's a jug.
I thought it'd be a small glass so that it's surprising but it's nice to have this much of beverage.
Mini Salad and Soup
The soup was consomme with corns and onions, and the salad was lettuce and tomatoes oil-based dressing.
Original Loco Moco
When I had a loco moco in Hawaii, that came with flattened hamburg (like hamburger patty) over buttered rice and sunny-side up, but their loco moco had different appearance.
There's potato salad and I gave it to my mom.
There's a ball shaped hamburg.
Instead of a sunny-side up, there's a poached egg.
There're 2 dome shaped rice balls.
Drizzled white sauce tasted like heavy cream, at least it's not mayonnaise, and the gravy sauce tasted like a mix of ketchup and steak sauce.
I broke the egg yolk to eat with rice and hamburg.
The hamburg was juicy and soft, and as it's tender, I think it's a mix of beef and pork.
The rice was plain white rice, the gravy they put was little and I wished there had been more so that I didn't have to eat the plain rice.
Mini Dessert
It's a bite-size chocolate brownie topped with whipped cream.
The cake was a bit dried but the inside was moist and rich.
We heard their pancakes were good and we decided to share Kona Coffee Cream Pancakes.
Kona Coffee Cream Pancakes
Tons of cream over 2 pancakes.
Lightly sweetened chocolate sauce, Kona coffee powder and smooth and light cream went well together and it had sweetness and bitterness.
The pancakes were fluffy, soft, and moist, and it's about 3cm (1.18 inch).
The Lunch Course was a good deal as it comes with a drink, a mini salad, soup and a mini dessert.
The pancakes were quite good and I'd love to try some other flavors.

2015年秋に、母が新しいお店「オアフスタンド」を見つけて、2人で週末に行って来た。
ただ、その日は貸切営業となっていたので平日に再訪した。
（ドアに張り紙があっただけなので、もし行く日が決まっていれば、予め電話をして
開いているか確認した方が良さそう）
広い駐車場のある店舗は銀色の箱型で、工場に見えた。
ランチは毎日11時半からで、11時29分に着くとドアが開いていたけれど、受付には誰も
おらず「CLOSED（閉店）」と札が置いてあった。
11時半になっても誰も来なかったのでゆっくり店内に入ると、女性スタッフが全員揃って
おしゃべり中だった。
外側とは異なり、店内は明るくシンプルで、広々としていた。
好きなミニドリンク、ミニサラダ、スープ、ミニデザートが付くコースから、オリジナル
ロコモコを選んだ。
ウーロン茶
すぐにウーロン茶が出されたのだけれど、グラスはミニではなくジョッキだった。
小さなグラスを想像していたのでグラスが大きくて驚いたけれど、沢山飲み物が入って
いて良かった。
ミニサラダとスープ
スープはコンソメで、トウモロコシとタマネギが入っていた。
サラダはレタスとトマトで、オイルベースのドレッシングがかかっていた。
オリジナル ロコモコ
ハワイで食べたロコモコは、バターライスの上に平らなハンバーグと目玉焼きが乗って
いたけれど、このロコモコは違った見た目だった。
ポテトサラダが添えてあったので、母に食べてもらった。
まず、ボール型のハンバーグが1個。
目玉焼きではなく、温泉卵。
ドーム型のライスが2個
白いソースはマヨネーズではなく、生クリームに似た味だった。
グレービーソースはケチャップとステーキソースを混ぜたような味がした。
黄身をくずしてライス、ハンバーグと一緒に食べた。
ハンバーグはジューシーで柔らかかったので、多分牛と豚の合挽きだと思う。
ライスはプレーンな白米で、ソースが少なかったので白米だけで食べる羽目になり、もう
少しソースの量が多かったら良かった。
ミニデザート
一口サイズのチョコレートブラウニーで、生クリームが乗っていた。
ケーキは少し乾燥していたけれど、内側はしっとりして濃厚だった。
パンケーキが美味しいと聞いたので、コナコーヒークリームのパンケーキをシェアする
ことにした。
コナコーヒークリームのパンケーキ
2枚のパンケーキの上に、クリームがなみなみとかかっていた。
バナナ1本分と思われる量のスライスバナナが乗っていた。
甘さが控えめのチョコレートソース、コナコーヒーの粉がかかっていて、滑らかで軽い
生クリームと合わさり、甘さと苦さがあった。
パンケーキはふわふわで柔らかく、しっとりしていて、3センチほど厚みがあった。
ランチコースはドリンク、ミニサラダ、スープ、ミニデザート付きでお得だった。
確かにパンケーキは美味しかったので、他のフレーバーも食べてみたい。
