While baking cookies for Halloween without eating lunch, I got really hungry and we decided to go to one of the diners near our apartment.
It's called "Olympic Flame Diner," and as it's a diner, they've got everything I wanted; pancake, grilled cheese, fries and cakes.

We got there around 3 PM and soon we're seated.

The interior was simple but as it's Halloween season, they put some decorations.

Menu

I was so hungry, so I decided to get pancakes over grilled cheese.
And From Griddle Specialties, I chose "Pancakes with Chocolate Chips."

About 10 minutes later, a large plate of pancakes was served with maple syrup and whipped butter.

Chocolate chips were tend to be in the center and on the top, white sugar was sprinkled.

Each pancake was as large as my hand.

The pancakes had visible bubbles on the edge.

Inside of the pancake, there're also fine bubbles and the texture was soft, moist and a little bit chewy while the surface was slightly crispy.

The pancake itself was sweet and I don't think it's buttermilk but regular pancake dough.

After trying a piece without any butter or syrup, I poured a lot of maple syrup or the pancakes after spreading some butter.

The syrup and chocolate chips had different sweetness, and I thought it tasted better with maple syrup.

お昼ご飯を食べずにハロウィン用のクッキーを焼いていたら、さすがにお腹が空いてきて

近所のダイナーへ行った。
「オリンピック フレーム ダイナー」というお店で、ダイナーなのでパンケーキやグリルド
チーズ、ポテト、ケーキなど私が好きなものが揃っている。

お店に着いたのは15時頃で、すぐに席に通された。
シンプルな内装だったけれど、ハロウィンに合わせたデコレーションがしてあった。

今日はものすごくお腹が空いていたので、グリルドチーズではなく、パンケーキを注文
することにした。
数種類あった中から「チョコレートチップ入りパンケーキ」を頼んだ。
10分ほどでパンケーキが乗った大きなお皿と、メープルシロップ、ホイップバターが
出された。
チョコレートチップは中心に寄っていて、上から白い砂糖がかかっていた。
各パンケーキは手と同じくらいの大きく、縁には気泡が沢山見えた。
内側にも細かい気泡があり、しっとり柔らかく少しもっちりしていて、表面には軽いサク
サク感があった。
パンケーキの生地はバターミルクではなく、普通のパンケーキミックスのような味。
何も付けずにパンケーキを一口食べた後はバターを塗り、メープルシロップをたっぷり
かけて食べた。
シロップとチョコレートには異なった甘さがあり、シロップをかけた方が美味しかった。
