Buckwheat Pancakes From Westside Restaurant

My husband and I had a quick breakfast with his friends and we went to "Westside Restaurant" in Upper West.

They brought breakfast menus, but they also provide all day menus, too.

This is a cover of full menu.

From breakfast menu, I ordered Buckwheat Pancakes as it's my first time to see and I wanted to try.
In about 10 minutes after placing our order, buckwheat pancakes were brought.

There're 3 pancakes, and the color was similar to soba noodle yet not that dark.

They also brought a bowl of butter and syrup.

My favorite way to eat pancakes is to eat all the stacked pancakes together.

I put some butter and syrup on the top pancake, then shoved them all 3 layers at once.

It had more fragrant scent than regular pancakes made with flour, and buckwheat pancakes had less sweetness.

However, with syrup, it tasted almost the same as ordinary pancakes but just a bit dried and fragile.

Rutin in buckwheat cleans blood and lowers blood pressure, and Choline prevents cirrhosis of liver and arteriosclerosis, so it'd be good for me to choose some healthy pancakes over regular ones.

The portion was quite large but the price was decent.

Also, when my cup was empty, they came back to ask if I needed hot water (for my tea), so even though the place was busy, they're checking each table well.

日曜の朝、旦那と旦那の友人とアッパーウェストにある「ウェストサイド レストラン」で

食事をした。
朝食メニューが運ばれてきたけれど、通常のメニューも注文可能だった。
そば粉パンケーキが朝食メニューに載っていて、これまでに食べたことがないので注文
してみた。

注文してから10分ほどでそば粉パンケーキが運ばれて来た。
パンケーキは3枚で、蕎麦の色に似て いたけれどそれほど濃い色ではなかった。

私は重なったパンケーキを一緒に食べるのが好きなので、1番上のパンケーキにバターと
シロップをかけ、3枚とも一度に食べた。
パンケーキは小麦粉で作られたものよりも香ばしさがあり、甘さも控えめだった。
シロップをかけると通常のパンケーキと大きな味の変化はなかったように感じたけれど、
少し乾いていて崩れやすい印象。
蕎麦には血液をきれいにし、血圧を下げるルチン、肝硬変や動脈硬化を防ぐコリンが
含まれるので、たまには少し体に良いそば粉パンケーキも良いと思った。

量がたっぷりありながら良心的な値段で良かった。
また、紅茶のカップが空いた頃に差し湯がいるか聞きに来てくれたので、忙しい店内でも
お客に目が行き届いている印象。
