I went to have brunch with my relative at Jimmy's Diner in Brooklyn the other day.
In the small diner, there're about 7 tables and the counter seems to be able to hold about 10 people.
When I came in before 1 PM, there's a female staff inside but kept ignoring me and didn't even say hi until I said hi to her.
She didn't say a thing so I grabbed a table on my own but there're lots of spilled food and crumbs on the table and chairs.

Buttermilk Pancakes
From my wrist to the top of my middle finger is about 7.87 inch/20cm, so each pancake was about 5.9 inch/15cm in diameter.
I put some butter on and poured syrup.
It's not too thick but not too flat pancake, and it had subtle saltiness from buttermilk.
The saltiness enhances the sweetness of the syrup and though they're large, I ate them all as I didn't have any snack beforehand.
Tater Heaven
It's listed in "Breakfast Bowl" and consists of homemade tater tots topped with scrambled eggs, sauteed onions, pepper jack and guacamole.
Those tater tots that I eat are made with roughly shredded potatoes so that to see this smooth type was new to me.
The breading was thin and it's flat without any bumps so that there's no crunchiness and I thought it's a bit greasy.
However, they're seasoned well and tasted good as they were, and also went well with sweet sauteed onions, scrambled eggs and guacamole.
At one point, the diner was full though it's a weekday afternoon and I think this place is very famous.
The quality of the food was actually good for the moderate price range.
The female staff that I mentioned above wasn't that friendly, but a male staff was talkative and welcoming.
It's featured in Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.

ブルックリンにあるジミーズ ダイナーで、親戚とブランチをした。
小さなお店内にはテーブルが7卓ほどあり、カウンター席は10人程度が座れるようになって
いた。
13時前にお店に着くと、女性のスタッフが中にいたけれど無視され続け、私が挨拶をする
まで一言も発さなかったので、自分で席に座った。
テーブルも椅子も食べ物のカスが散らばっていて、かなり汚かった。
バターミルク パンケーキ
手首から中指の先までは約20センチなので、各パンケーキの直径は15センチ程だと思う。
バターを塗り、シロップをかけた。
分厚すぎず、薄すぎないパンケーキで、バターミルクのほんのりとした塩気があった。
塩っぱさがメープルシロップの甘さを引き立てていて、何も食べずにお店に行ったので
完食した。
テイターヘブン
「ブレックファスト ボウル」に記載されていたもので、自家製のテイタートッツに
スクランブルエッグ、オニオンソテー、ペッパージャックチーズ、グアカモレが乗って
いる。
普段食べるテイタートッツ（ジャガイモを俵型にして揚げたもの）は荒く刻んだポテトが
使われているけれど、これは滑らかなペースト状だった。
衣は薄く凹凸がない表面だったので、あまりカリッとした食感はなく油っこく感じた。
ただ、下味がしっかりと付いていたのでこのままでも美味しく、甘くなったオニオン
ソテーやスクランブルエッグ、グアカモレとも合っていた。
平日の午後にもかかわらず一時店内は満席となったので、有名なお店なのだと思う。
手頃な値段で、美味しいものが食べられて良かった。
前述の女性スタッフは愛想が悪かったけれど、男性スタッフは気さくな人だった。
ダイナーズ、ドライブインズ、ダイブズという番組にも紹介されたらしい。
