Tony's Beer Battered Burger From Tune Inn

Tune Inn in Washington DC is one of the oldest bars in DC.
They also holds one of the first 500 liquor licenses issued by DC after Prohibition, which was abolished on December 5, 1933.
It's originally opened in 1947, but their kitchen had a fire in June, 2011, and thanks to the minimum damage, which was only in the kitchen, they said the bar remains the same.
Inside
There're taxidermic animals on the walls, and they're what Joe Nardelli, the founder, hunted.
There's a stuffed deer butt, and on the menu, there're stamps of "Deer Ass" (that's literally what they wrote) to indicate their signature items.
There're counter and tables, the latter of which could fit 4 people easily.
Apparently, this bar was featured in Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, and there're some menu with Guy Fieri's face stamp which were featured items.
From Half Pound Burgers, I got Tony's Beer Battered Burger, which was one of Guy Fieri's featured dish.
All the burgers use 100% ground beef patty grilled to order and come with potato roll bun, lettuce, tomato, pickle chips and batter fries.
Tony's Beer Battered Burger
The patty is grilled, beer battered dropped in the deep fryer and topped with cheese.
The potato bun was soft and had some sweet scent.
Beer batter made crispy and crunchy noise, and the patty was cooked medium as I asked.
They once grilled it, then put it in the fryer, yet they perfectly cooked the patty to the way I wished.
Patty was juicy and not that oily as I had thought, and it went well with the fluffy potato roll.
I didn't add any condiments but the patty was well seasoned so that it's tasty as it was.
Though it must be high calories AF, I'd love to eat it again.
Battered fries were crunchy outside and soft and moist inside, and they're really enjoyable.

さらに、このバーは1933年12月5日の禁酒法廃止後、最初に酒類販売許可証を最初に得た
500店舗の1つでもある。
1947年に開店し、2011年6月に起こった火事もキッチンだけが破壊されたため、基本的に
バーは創業当時のままらしい。

店内
壁には剥製の動物が飾られていて、創業者のジョー・ナーデリが狩りで捕らえたもの。
剥製の中に鹿のお尻があり、店内のお勧めメニューにはこのお尻のスタンプが押されて
いた。
* メニューでは「鹿のケツ」という言葉が使用されていた
カウンターとテーブル席があり、テーブルは4人が優に座れるソファだった。
メニュー
ダイナーズ、ドライブインズ、ダイブズという番組で紹介されたようで、TVホストの
ガイ・フィエリが紹介したメニューには、彼の顔のスタンプが押されていた。
ハーフポンドバーガーズの中から、ガイ・フィエリお勧めの「トニーズ ビアバター
バーガー」を頼んだ。
全てのバーガーは牛肉100％のひき肉で、ポテトバンズにレタス、トマト、ピクルスが
挟まれ、衣をつけて揚げたポテトが添えてある。

パティを焼いた後、ビアバターを付けてフライヤーで揚げ、チーズが乗っていた。
ポテトバンズはふんわりと柔らかく、少し甘い香りがした。
厚みのあるバーガー。
ビアバターはカリッ、サクッと音がし、パティは注文した通りミディアムだった。
鉄板で焼いた後にフライヤーで揚げているのに、希望通りの焼き加減で驚いた。
パティはジューシーで思ったほど衣の油っこさは気にならず、ポテトバンズのふわふわ
した食感とよく合っていた。
特に調味料を足さなくても、パティに塩胡椒がしてあったので、このままで十分美味し
かった。
高カロリーだろうけれど、また食べたくなる味だった。
衣を付けて揚げたポテトはカリッとした外側に、ホクホクした内側で、歯触りの良い
ポテトだった。
