We went to White Mana in Jersey City because I saw it on TV.

My husband found another White Manna (with 2 "N"s) in Hackensack, so we decided to visit both.
First I thought one of them was misspelled but apparently they're not the same chain.
"Manna" is named after manna, the biblical food and both were opened by Louis Bridges, then 2 diners were bought different owners.

White Mana in Jersey City was suppose to have 2 Ns also, but it's the result of an error when the sign was put.

In 1997, the Jersey City Historic Preservation Committee declared the diner a local landmark.

There's a painting of the diner inside.

The main section of the diner was octagon and there're grills.

There're about 6 tables next to the octagon space.

Menu was hung on the wall.

Burgers were made to order, and they put meat patties and onions on the grill, though you can order without onions.
And it looked like they cooked the onions a bit before placing patties, then placed the onions over the patties and flipped.
While cooking the patties and onions, they put the bottom side of the bun upside down (inner side of the bun touching the patties) and then put the upper bun placed on the bottom bun.

When the patties were cooked, they scooped the patties with the metal spatula and flipped, then placed the upper bun over the patty.

It's served with pickles, but you can ask no pickles, too.

As the bottom bun was placed over the patties while cooking the meat, the bottom bun absorbed juice of beef and onions and subtly wet.

Onions were transparent and cooked soft, and there're some browned pieces, too.

It's a very tiny hamburger, like the ones served at White Castle.
The bun were soft and plain, and the patty was juicy and simply seasoned with salt and pepper.
The cut onions were soft and sweet, and they added nice flavor to the hamburger.

We ordered a smalled fires, and they're as skinny and straight as McDonald's ones.

A.1. Halloween Whopper From Burger King

テレビで見て知った、ジャージーシティにあるホワイトマナ（White Mana）へ行って来た。
旦那がハッケンサックにあるホワイトマナ（White Manna）を見つけ、両方行くことに
した。
片方はNが2個使われているので、最初はどちらかの一方が綴り間違いなのかと思った
けれど、これらはチェーンではないらしい。
マナ（Manna）は旧約聖書に登場する食べ物で、両店舗の最初のオーナーであるルイス 
ブリッジスが名付け、その後それぞれの店舗を別のオーナーが買い取ったらしい。

ジャージーシティにあるホワイトマナもNが2個あるはずだったけれど、看板がかけられた
時に間違いが発覚した。
1997年に、ジャージーシティ 歴史的保存委員会がこのダイナーを史跡に指定した。

メインの部分は八角形で中にグリルがあり、メニューは壁にかかっていた。
また、「現金のみ」と書かれていた。
8卓ほどのテーブルも店内にあった。

バーガーは注文を受けてから調理され、パティとタマネギがグリルに置かれた。
タマネギ抜きで注文することも可能。
パティを焼く前にタマネギを炒め、そのタマネギをパティの上に乗せ、さらにひっくり
返しているようだった。
パティとタマネギを焼いている間にバンズの下半分をパティに裏返しに乗せ（バンズの
内側はパティに触れている状態）、その上に上半分のバンズを乗せていた。

具材に火が通るとスパチュラでバンズが乗ったままパティをすくって裏返し、上側の

バンズを乗せていた。

ピクルスが添えられて出されたものの、ピクルス無しで頼むことも可能。
調理中に下側のバンズがパティの上に乗せられていたので、バンズは肉汁とタマネギの
水分を吸って少し湿っていた。
タマネギは透明になって柔らかくなるまで火が通っていて、中には茶色くなったものも
あった。

とても小さなハンバーガーで、ホワイトキャッスルと同じくらいの大きさだった。
柔らかくプレーンなバンズで、塩胡椒でシンプルな味付けのパティはジューシーだった。
刻んだタマネギは柔らかくて甘く、ハンバーガーに味を足していた。

ポテトはマクドナルドのものと同じくらい細く、真っすぐだった。
