On the way to The Tempest at Central Park, we stopped by Wafels & Dienges cart at 66th station.
I've had the Liège Wafel before, and this time, I got a "De Throwdown Wafel."
It's described as "Legendary and glorious victor of the Battle with the Great Bobby Flay. With spekuloos spread & whipped cream."
* It's written as "spekuloos," but actual spelling is "speculoos" and it's a cinnamon cookie flavored spread.
An employee took a waffle from the waffle maker and put spread, whipped cream and powder sugar.

The edge was crispy as some sugar was caramelized and brown, and other parts were soft and moist.
I remember that the last time I had Liège Wafel, it's a bit chewy, but this waffle was chewier and mushier as if it had been half-cooked.
The whipped cream was from a can and it's "lightly sweetened and weirdly fluffy" like other canned whipped cream.
The spread was rough and had some fine pieces, and it's sweet like the cookie.
Though I like sweets, I'm not a huge fan of cinnamon and I'll try something else next time.

セントラルパークのテンペストを見に行く前に、66丁目駅にあるWafels & Digensに立ち
寄った。
以前リエージュワッフルを食べたので、今回は「スローダウン ワッフル」を食べてみた。
メニューには「あのボビー・フレイ氏との対決で、輝かしい伝説的な勝利を納めた
スペキュラース スプレッド&ホイップクリーム乗せ」と書かれていた。
* スペキュラース スプレッドはシナモン味のクッキー のスプレッドのこと
** ボビー・フレイ（Bobby Flay）はセレブシェフ
注文後、ワッフルメーカーからワッフルを取り、スプレッドを塗り、ホイップクリームを
乗せ、粉砂糖をかけて出された。
砂糖が溶けてキャラメル化した端はサクッとし、他の部分は柔らかくしっとりしていた。
前回リエージュワッフルを食べた時にもっちりした食感だったのを覚えているけれど、
今回はさらにもちっとし、ぐにゃっとしていて、まるで生焼けのようだった。
生クリームは缶入りなので、独特の「甘さが控えめで妙なふんわり食感」があり、
スプレッドはしゃりしゃりしていて、クッキーのように甘かった。
甘いものは好きだけれどシナモンはそれほど好きではないので、次回は他のものを食べ
ようと思う。
