I've been trying different food trucks and I’ve been interested in some confectionery trucks.

One of them is called “Coolhaus” that sells ice cream sandwiches, and I wanted to try it while it’s still warm outside.

After having a grilled cheese from The New Amity Restaurant, I walked to the food truck, which was at 53td and Park Avenue that day.

(It’s pretty warm yesterday after the rain stopped.)

I checked their tweets to find the correct location, it’s easy to spot the truck.

On the truck, there’re magnets of cookies and ice cream flavors to choose from.

Inside of the truck, there’re more magnets so I think depends on the time and days, the available items differ.

I chose “Chocolate Chip Cookie” with “European Yogurt & Berries.”

When a woman served me the ice cream sandwich, I said that it’s very large.

Then she said that the ice cream I chose was very hard to scrape so that the sandwich was tall, then she pressed it down for a bit.

However, it’s still super tall, about 10cm (4 inch.), so I gave up biting into and instead decided to use the wooden spoon to eat the ice cream.

The cookies on the top was chewy but at the bottom, it’s hard due to the cold ice cream.

There’s no way to bite it without making a mess, so I used the wooden stick to scoop ice cream and put on the cookie or after a couple of bite of ice cream, I bit the cookie.

The ice cream had refreshing sourness form yogurt and berries, and the cookies were ordinary chocolate chip cookies.

The sandwich was served on a piece of paper so that I could grab it easily, but it’s just impossible to eat like a normal ice cream sandwich.

The Morris Truck

色々なフードトラックの料理を食べているけれど、スイーツを専門に扱うお店に興味が

あった。

その中の1つが「クールハウス」というトラックで、アイスクリームサンドイッチを販売

している。

まだ外が温かいうちに食べてみたいと思っていて、ニュー アミティー レストランで

グリルドチーズを食べた後、その日の販売場所であるパーク通りの53番地まで歩いた。

（昨日は雨が上がった後、かなり暑かった）

Twitterでトラックの現在地を確認してから行ったので、簡単にトラックが見つかった。

トラックの壁にクッキーとアイスクリームの種類が載ったマグネットが貼られていて、

その中からクッキーとアイスクリームを選ぶ。

トラック内には他のマグネットも合ったので、時間や曜日によってバラエティーが

異なるのだと思う。

私は「チョコレートチップクッキーとヨーロピアン ヨーグルト&ベリー」を選んだ。

女性がアイスクリーム サンドイッチを渡してくれた時「ものすごく大きいですね」と

言うと、どうやら私が選んだアイスがカチカチに固まっていてすくいにくかったようで、

目の前でサンドイッチを少し押しつぶしていた。

それでもまだまだ高さはあり、約10センチだったのでかぶりつくのを諦め、添えられて

いた木べらでアイスをすくって食べることにした。

上側のクッキーは柔らかかったけれど、下側のクッキーはアイスの冷たさでカチカチに

固くなっていた。

木べらでアイスをすくってクッキーに乗せたり、アイスを数口食べてからクッキーを

一口食べたりした。

アイスはヨーグルトとベリーの爽やかな 酸味があるミルク味で、クッキーはよくある

チョコレートチップクッキーだった。

サンドイッチは紙の上に乗せられていたので簡単に掴むことができたけれど、普通の

サンドイッチのように食べるのはどう考えても無理だった。
