Grilled Cheese From Sonic

Sonic Drive-In, a.k.a. Sonic, is a drive-in fast food chain based in Oklahoma founded in 1953.
My first visit was back in 2006 in California or Nevada, but I hadn't been any Sonic ever since just because there's no convenient locations.
Last weekend, we rented a car and my husband took me to closest branch in NJ, and we tried a whole bunch of items.
As you can see, there're a lot of parking space by the building.
When you park, there're menus on the board and you can place your order via the speaker.
Once the items are finished, a carhop on a pair of roller skates brings you the items you ordered.
We looked through the menu beforehand, and I had decided to get a Grilled Cheese.
And it's stored in a silver color paper bag.
In the bag, there're 2 slices of lightly toasted breads.
They're not buttered or grilled on a griddle, and they didn't have any crispy surface or buttery flavor.
They're just soft breads.
Between the soft toasts, there's gooey yellow American cheese that had nice saltiness.
To me, it's like melted cheese between soft toasts and it's one of my least favorite grilled cheese.

Below the menu, there's a speaker and also a insert to pay with a credit card, but you can also pay by handing the card or cash to the "carhop" that means waiter here.
Behind the menu, there're several different advertisements so I took all the photos.

ソニックとして知られるソニック ドライブインは、1953年にオクラホマ州に設立された

2006年に初めてカリフォルニアかネバダ州のソニックに行ったのだけれど、それ以降は
行きやすい場所に店舗がなく全く行くことがなかった。
先週末、旦那がレンタカーで1番近くのニュージャージー州の店舗に連れて行ってくれ、
沢山の商品を食べた。
店舗の周りには駐車スペースが沢山あり、そこに車を停めてスピーカーで注文をする。
支払いはクレジットカードをスピーカー近くの差し込み口に入れるか、店員にカードか
現金を直接渡すこともできる。
（このチェーンでは、ウェイターを「カーホップ（Carhop）」と呼ぶ）
メニューの裏には異なる商品広告が載っていたので、歩き回って写真を撮った。
商品ができあがると、ローラースケートを履いた店員が車まで持って来てくれる。
予めメニューを見て決めていた通り、グリルドチーズを注文した。
グリルドチーズは銀色の紙袋に入っていて、袋を開けるとパンはトーストされかなり淡い
焼き色だけが付いていて、バターが塗られ鉄板で焼かれたサクサク感や良い香りは全く
なかった。
柔らかいトーストの間には溶けた黄色いアメリカンチーズが挟まれていて、ちょうど良い
塩気があった。
これは柔らかいトーストに溶けたチーズが挟まれただけのもので、今まで食べた中でも
あまり好きではないものの1つとなった。
