Swirl Soft Serve Ice Cream From Dominique Ansel Kitchen

When we're walking back from dinner to home, we passed by Dominique Ansel Kitchen.
Last year, I tried to get soft serve one of the weekdays after seeing that they started selling it, they told me that soft serve was only available on weekends.
As they didn't clarify on the HP, I had no idea if Friday was in considered weekend or not.
I was quite full but still hadn't had the soft serve or didn't know when I'd get a chance before summer ends, we decided to give it a try.
* They sell soft serve during summer, which doesn't have specific month or date to begin or end.
Soft serve isn't sold inside of Dominique Ansel Kitchen but it's at the little window towards the right.
There're 2 flavors for soft serve.
1. Burrata soft serve - creamy silky milk with balsamic caramel, micro basil, whole strawberry confit.
2. Salt & Pepper Caramel soft serve - crispy potato gaufrette, devil's food cake and Maldon sea salt.
They also have "Swirl" that you can enjoy both flavors and all the 3 soft serve is served in a cup or waffle cone, 7 dollars each.
My husband ordered "1 Swirl, in a cone," but the receipt somehow showed that one Swirl and one Burrata, thus it indicated we ordered 2 soft serves.
My husband is American = needless to say he speaks English so that I could hardly think that his pronunciation or the way he placed the oder was wrong.
Although we thought of correcting it, there's only one staff at the soft serve window, a waiting line appeared and he paid with credit card, we gave up.
The staff started making soft serve for a customer who had ordered before us after taking our order, which is normal, however, she gave us 2 Swirl soft serves BEFORE a guy who also had ordered earlier than us.
We have no idea when he could get the sweets since we could get our soft serves, which weren't 1 Swirl and 1 Burrata written on the receipt, but BOTH were Swirl.
Definitely the staff screwed our and others' orders for sure...
Swirl Soft Serve
It's topped with devil's food cake cubes, some micro basils, a potato goufrette and dots of balsamic caramel.
Waffle cone.
Burrata had nice sour and cheese aftertaste that was similar to cream cheese, micro basil was rich in grassy flavor but not too strong, devil's food cake was dense and rich in dark chocolate and criss-cross cut potato gaufrette was crispy and warm.
Salt & pepper caramel soft serve tasted just a sweet and fragrant caramel but no saltiness or peppery, except the scraped Maldon sea salt toppings.
I didn't mind this unique and sweet and sour flavors, but my husband said, "It just tasted like salad with balsamic vinaigrette dressing."
There's a whole strawberry confit at the tip of the cone.
Before I reached the very bottom, the waffle cone was wet because of the soft serve ice cream and it's better to be careful when you eat it.
The soft serve was really smooth and no rough texture was found and the flavors were different from what I've had so far.
I wish the staff took ordered correctly and more efficient.

夕飯を食べて歩いて帰宅している途中、ドミニクアンセルキッチンの前を通った。
昨年ソフトサーブ アイスクリーム（ソフトクリーム）が発売されたと聞き、とある平日に
買いに行ったところ、週末のみの販売と言われた。
これはHPにも記載されていなかったので、週末に金曜が含まれるのかさえ不明だった。
お腹がいっぱいだったけれど、まだ食べたことがなく、この先夏が終わるまでに食べる
機会があるか分からなかったので、食べてみることにした。
* ソフトサーブは夏限定で、発売日や販売終了日に関しても詳細の記載なし。
ソフトサーブはドミニクアンセルキッチンの店内ではなく、お店に向かって右側の小窓で
販売されている。
ソフトサーブのフレーバーは2つ。
1. ブッラータ ソフトサーブ - クリーミーでなめらかなミルクアイスにバルサミコ酢
キャラメル、マイクロバジル、イチゴのコンフィ。
2. ソルト＆ペッパーキャラメル ソフトサーブ - サクサクのポテトゴーフレット、デビルズ
フードケーキ、マルドン海塩。
さらに「スワール」という両方のフレーバーを混ぜたものがあり、3種類ともカップか
ワッフルコーンが選べ、各7ドル。
旦那が「スワールを1個、ワッフルコーンで」と言ったのだけれど、受け取ったレシートに
デビルズフードケーキ、マイクロバジル、ポテトゴーフレット、バルサミコ酢のキャラ
メルが数滴乗っていた。
ワッフルコーン。
ブッラータは後味に酸味とチーズの香がしてクリームチーズに似た味がし、マイクロ
バジルは草のような良い香りがあり、デビルズフードケーキはしっとりし、濃厚なダーク
チョコレートの味で、格子柄のポテト ゴーフレットは温かくサクサクだった。
ソルト＆ペッパーキャラメルは甘く香ばしいキャラメルの味がしたものの、塩気や胡椒の
味はなく、トッピングのマルドン海塩の塩っぱさだけがあった。
変わったフレーバーで、甘さと酸味があり美味しいと思ったけれど、旦那は「サラダに
バルサミコ酢のドレッシングをかけたような味」と表現していた。
コーンの底に、イチゴのコンフィが丸ごと入っていた。
1番下にたどり着くまでに、ワッフルコーンの先がソフトサーブで濡れてアイスが漏れ
出したので、食べる時には注意が必要。
ソフトサーブは本当に滑らかでザラザラした部分はなく、これまでに食べたものとは
異なるフレーバーだった。
スタッフが正しく注文を取り、有能だったら良かった。

注文後、スタッフは私たちの前に注文をした人のソフトサーブを作り始めたのだけれど、

ことが明確。
