Cookie Shot, or also called Milk Shot, from Dominique Ansel debuted on March 9, 2014 at SXSW 2014.
SXSW stands for South by Southwest is a set of film, interactive, and music festivals and conferences that take place early each year in mid-March in Austin, Texas began in 1987.
"Chocolate Chip Cookie Shot," written in the HP, is a chocolate chip cookie glass filled with milk.
In the states, it's popular to eat cookie with a glass of milk, and this snack was inspired by the custom.
I recently learned that Dominique Ansel Bakery in NYC sells it every day since March 14, so I called them in the morning to make sure if the information I had was right, and they said yes.
They start selling the Cookie Shot from 3 PM and there's usually a line from 2:45 PM.
And they make a couple of hundreds a day, and each person can buy up to 2 pieces.
I went to the bakery around 2:30 PM and asked an employee where to wait, then he said they'd ask customers to make a line outside around 2:45 PM so I waited outside.
Yet, at 2:50 PM there's no one else besides me and my husband, so I asked my husband if we're at the correct spot to wait while I waited outside.
He said that they said there's no line today so that we should wait inside. <-- Jeez, I waited outside for 20 minutes in the rain...
It happened to me before that each employee says different things, so if you go there with a or more than 2 people, one should be in a line or a spot they say, and another person go inside to make sure if the information is correct, otherwise you'll be waiting somewhere wrong in vain like I did.
At 2:55 PM, I started lining up for the order line, and while waiting, it hit 3:00 PM.
I placed an order, and they asked me here or to go, so I said here.
If you choose to go, they'll give your a cookie cup and milk separately as the cookie won't hold the milk long.
As soon as I paid, the good was already served.
Chocolate Chip Cookie Shot
The cookie was still a bit warm and milk was poured to the very top.
The product was quite small like a skinny shot glass, and the diameter was about 6cm (2 inch), and the height was about 10cm (4 inch).
Inner side of the glass, there's milk chocolate coating which prevented cookie glass from getting soaked.
The cookie was warm and soft, and pretty greasy.
The chocolate chips were soft and half melted, and the dough has subtle saltiness.
My fingers got oily and on the paper plate, there's a huge oil stain.
The milk was light and I thought it's low-fat milk, however, I might have felt that way because of the fat cookie.
The bottom part was slightly thicker than the side part.
I drank half the milk first then started eating the side, so the milk didn't break the cookie glass.
It's an interesting dessert to try, but I personally thought trying it once was god enough given the price (4 dollars + tax), size (quite petit) and the greasiness.
I'd rather eat just cookies with milk at home without waiting in a line.

数百個が製造され1人当たり2個まで購入可能と聞いた。
また、列は14： 45頃にできると言っていた。
お店に14：30頃到着し従業員にどこに並べば良いのか聞くと、 14：45になったら店舗の
入り口近くに列を作るように指示すると言っていたので、店舗の外で待つことにした。
ただ、14：50になっても誰も出てこなかったので、旦那に中へ行って待つ場所を再確認
してもらったところ、「今日は列が出来ていないので、中で待って」と言われたらしい。
雨が降る中、外で20分も待ったのに。。。
以前も従業員によって言っていることが違っていたので、もし2人以上でお店に行く場合、
1人は列（もしくは指示された場所）に並んだままで、別の人が店員に確認しに行くのが
お勧め。
そうでなければ私のように無駄に待つことになると思う。
14：55に注文する列に並び、待っている間に15時になった。
クッキーショットを注文すると、店内で食べるか持ち帰るか聞かれたので「店内 」と
伝えた。
持ち帰りを選ぶと、クッキーに牛乳が染みてしまうため別々に渡されるとのことだった。
支払いを済ませるとすぐに商品が渡された。
チョコレートチップクッキーショット
クッキーはまだ温かく、カップの上部ぎりぎりまで牛乳が入っていた。
クッキーグラスは小さく、直径が6センチほど、高さも10センチ程度だった。
内側にはミルクチョコレートが塗られていて、牛乳が染み込むのを防いでいた。
クッキーは温かく柔らかく、かなり脂っこかった。
クッキーを持った指が油でギトギトになり、紙皿には大きな油染みがあった。
チョコレートチップはとろりと溶けていて、生地には少し塩気があった。
牛乳はサラサラだったので低脂肪乳かと思ったけれど、クッキーの油がしつこかったので
そう感じただけかもしれない。
底は側面に比べて厚めになっていた。
最初にクッキーグラスの中の牛乳を半分ほど飲んでおいたので、牛乳がクッキーに染み
込むことはなかった。
面白いデザートだったけれど、値段（税抜4ドル）、大きさ（かなり小さい）、脂っこさを
考えると1度でいいかな、といった印象。
私は列に並んで待つよりも、家でクッキーを食べて牛乳を飲む方がいいと思った。
