Signature Crafted Recipes "Signature Sriracha Burger" From McDonald's
マクドナルドのシグネチャー クラフテッド レシピズ「シグネチャー シラチャ バーガー」

 Ever since I arrived at Los Angeles, I kept seeing "Signature Sriracha Burger" ad everywhere, and I thought it's a nationwide menu but my husband thought it could be a west coast thing.
As soon as we saw the ad on a bus, we changed the lanes and dropped by a McDonald's sitting on the other side of the road before going on a highway in Anaheim.

 On the menu board, Signature Sriracha Burger was shown.

 Signature Crafted Recipes lets you choose the buns and protein, and it reminded me of Create Your Taste of McDonald's Canada, besides the burgers will be delivered to your table by a staff.

 1. Choose your flavor; Pico Guacamole, Buffalo Bacon, Maple Bacon Dijon, Deluxe or Signature Sriracha.
2. Choose your bun; sesame seed bun, potato roll or artisan roll.
3. Choose beef or chicken; Quarter Pound 100% Pure Beef, Buttermilk Crispy Chicken or Artisan Grilled Chicken.

 I chose Signature Sriracha because it's brand new and even the cashier didn't know how to input into the register.
For bun, I got Potato Roll just because it seemed unique.
For protein, I got beef patty.
My husband got Deluxe with Sesame Seed Bun and Beef Patty, and added American Cheese.

 We're given a metal stand with receipt and waited at a table.

 Unlike the cash register screen, the receipt didn't really have word-for-word descriptions.

 In about 5 minutes, the burgers were served.
Left box was Deluxe and the right was Signature Sriracha.

 The box was different form regular burgers and this one was chic, and there's a logo "Signature Crafted Recipes."
Freshly prepared sandwiches, just for you.

 Potato Roll kind of looked like pale colored challah as it's woven.

Under the bun, there're signature sriracha sauce, crispy onions, baby green, a slice of tomato, a slice of white cheddar cheese and a patty.

 I thought potato roll would be yellow and fluffy, but it's white and beige with nice grilled marks which were crispy.
The bun was a bit dried and light, instead of being moist or soft.
Crispy onions were still crunchy and added nice texture, the tomato was slice thick, baby green was adding a bit bitter flavor and refreshing flavor and the patty was juicy and meaty.

The signature sriracha was very rich and creamy with a tangy aftertaste.
I love spicy food and this sauce had enough heat but all I thought was mayonnaise because of the texture and weird sourness.

I couldn't get over the mayo-flavored sauce and I removed the upper bun and just ate the rest of it.
The beef patty was so juicy that this burger tasted quite heavy, and it'd have been much better if I had it with chicken as it's fillet which has some textures.

 I searched the details of the sauce later, and it's a mix of Bic Mac sauce mixed with sriracha, and no wonder I tasted mayonnaise.

 Next time, I'd love to try Buttermilk Crispy Chicken or Artisan Grilled Chicken.

 There're smoothies and parfait made with Chobani yogurt, but sadly I was too full to try these.

The most recent burger I've had in the U.S. is from By CHLOE.


ロサンゼルスに到着して以来、ずっと「シグネチャー シラチャ バーガー」と書かれた
広告が目に入っていた。
私は米国全土での新商品だと思ったのだけれど、旦那は西海岸だけで販売されている
可能性があると思ったらしい。
アナハイムで高速道路に入る手前でバスの車体に載っていた広告を見て、車線変更して
道路の反対側にあったマクドナルドに立ち寄った。

 電子メニューにはシグネチャー シラチャ バーガーが映っていた。

シグネチャー クラフテッド レシピズはバンズやたんぱく質が選択できるので、カナダの
マクドナルドが行っているクリエイト ユア テイストが頭に浮かんだ。
さらに、この特別なバーガーはスタッフが席まで運んで来てくれる。

 1. フレーバーを選択； ピコ グアカモレ、バッファローベーコン、メープルベーコン
ディジョン、デラックス、シグネチャー シラチャ
2. パンを選択； セサミシード、ポテトロール、アーティサンロール
3. 牛肉か鶏肉を選択； クォーターパウンド100％ビーフ、バターミルク クリスピー
チキン、アーティサン グリルドチキン

 新フレーバーのシグネチャー シラチャを選ぶと、店員がレジにどう入力するか知らない
ほどだった。
パンは変わった見た目のポテトロールにし、たんぱく質にはビーフパティを選択。
旦那はデラックスをセサミシードパン、ビーフパティで頼み、アメリカンチーズを追加。

 レシートが挟まれた金属のスタンドを渡され、テーブルに座って待っていた。

 レジの画面とは異なり、レシートには一言一句ではなく頭文字が並んでいた。

 5分程度でバーガーが運ばれて来た。
左がデラックス、右がシグネチャー シラチャ。

 いつものハンバーガーとは異なりシックなデザインで、「シグネチャー クラフテッド 
レシピズ」とロゴが入っていた。

 ポテトロールは白っぽく、編んだ模様がハラー（challah）のようだった。

 パンの下にはシグネチャー シラチャ ソース、クリスピーオニオン、ベビーグリーン、
スライス トマト、ホワイトチェダーチーズ、ビーフパティが入っていた。

 ポテトロールは黄色くふんわりしたものを想像していたけれど、白っぽいベージュで
カリッとした焼き色がついていた。
パンは少しパサっとして軽い食感で、柔らかさやしっとりした食感はなかった。
クリスピーオニオンはサクッとしていて良い食感を足し、トマトは厚めにスライスされ、
ベビーグリーンはほんのりと苦味があり、さっぱりした味で、パティはジューシーで
ごろっとした食感があった。

 シグネチャー シラチャはとても濃厚でクリーミーで、ピリッとした後味だった。
辛い食べ物が好きな私も楽しめる辛さがあったものの、マヨネーズが頭から離れない
食感と妙な酸味があった。

 マヨネーズ味がどうしても気になり、上側のパンを取り外して残りを食べることにした。
ビーフパティは肉汁がたっぷりで重たく感じ、鶏肉を選べばチキンフィレ特有の食感も
加わり、もっと美味しく食べられたと思う。

 後からソースの詳細を調べると、ビッグマックに入っているソースとシラチャを混ぜた
もののようで、マヨネーズの味がした理由がわかった。

 次回はバターミルク クリスピーチキンかアーティサン グリルドチキンを食べてみたい。

 チョバニ ヨーグルトを使ったスムージーやパフェがあったけれど、お腹がいっぱいで
食べられず残念。
