After Donguri, we went to "Two Little Red Hens" that was mentioned as one of the best cupcake shops in NYC.

We got there at 8:35 PM, and though they close at 9 PM, there're still enough variations of cupcakes to choose from.

We got Red Velvet and Yellow Cupcake for one each, and they had large (this cupcake) for 3 dollars and mini for 1.75.

I thought 3 bucks for this size was a good deal, and it's larger than the one sold at Georgetown Cupcake for the same price.

The ratio of the cake and frosting was 2.5 : 1.

The frosting was cream cheese and thick, and not fluffy like Georgetown Cupcake makes.
I felt like they just used smoothened cream cheese and squeezed out from an icing bag.

The cake was moist, light, fluffy, and soft, and I liked the cake a lot.
I wish I could combine this sponge cake with frosting from Georgetown Cupcake.

Customer service varied from employees to employees.
The person who took our order wasn’t welcoming at all and while some others were seating at the tables, she didn’t ask here or to-go and put the cupcakes into a paper bag that implied "you can't eat in here," while another employee was helping other customers with smile and better voice tone, that sounded actually she was happy to help them.

But it doesn't take us to eat a cupcake 3 minutes so we ate inside, and other customer kept flooding in.

At 8:45, one of the employees shouted, “We’re closing at 9 PM, in 15 minutes, thank you,” but it didn’t sound she meant to appreciate really.

If you wanna get some cupcakes at the eat-in space without letting them rush you or unwelcoming you, I’d recommend you shouldn’t go there after 8:30 or even 8 PM or they’ll treat you like an uninvited visitor like one of them did to us.

どんぐりに行った後、ニューヨーク市内にある美味しいカップケーキのお店の1つとして

紹介されていた「トゥーリトルレッドヘンズ」へ立ち寄った。

* Two Little Red Hensは「2羽の赤いめんどり」という意味

20時35分に着き、21時閉店にもかかわらずカップケーキはまだ残っていた。

レットベルベットとイエローカップケーキを1個ずつ買った。

カップケーキは2サイズあり、今回買ったラージ（大）は3ドル、ミニは1.75ドルだった。

ジョージタウン カップケーキのものに比べて大きく、これで3ドルは悪くないと思った。

ケーキとフロスティングは、2.5対1ほどだった。

フロスティングはねっとりしたクリームチーズで、ジョージタウン カップケーキのような

ふんわりした食感ではなく、滑らかにしただけのクリームチーズを絞り出しただけという

印象。

ケーキはしっとりし、ふんわりと柔らかく、軽くてとても美味しかった。

このケーキとジョージタウン カップケーキのフロスティングを合わせることができたら

とても美味しいはず。

接客に関しては従業員によってかなり差があった。

私達の注文を受けた店員は全く歓迎していない様子で、店内か持ち帰りかも聞かずに袋に

ケーキを詰めて「店内では食べられません」と言わんばかりの態度で渡されたけれど、

他の店員はお客に笑顔で出迎え、喜んで対応していた。

私たちはカップケーキを食べるのに3分もかからないので店内で食べていると、更にお客

さんが入ってきた。

20時45分になると店員の1人が「21時閉店です。あと15分です。（ご協力）ありがとう

ございます」と叫んだけれど、全く感謝しているようには聞こえなかった。

急かされずにケーキを食べ、歓迎される接客を期待するなら20時半以降、もしくは20時

以降にはお店に行かない方が良いと思う。

そうでなければ従業員の1人が私達のように招かれざる客として扱われるはず。
