Shack Attack From Shake Shack
シェイクシャックのシャックアタック

The first Shake Shack in Japan was opened on November 13, 2016 in Gaien, Tokyo.
As there're 4 Concretes, I went to try all of them today.
I got there at 11:16 AM, and though it opened at 11 AM, there're about 100 people in the line.
It's on a boulevard lined with gingko trees called "Icho- Namiki (いちょう並木)," and the building and the atmosphere reminded me of the one in Madison Square Park.
At 11:30 AM, I called this shop while lining up to ask if there's C-Line here.
However, the answer was, "Currently we don't have C-Line."
I wonder when they'll activate the system because the counter actually had a board "C-Line."
Menu
While waiting, a staff was providing portable menus.
"20 minutes more" with a sumo wrestler with a box of french fries in hand.
"10 more steps" with a sumo wrestler holding a burger.
Menu on the wall was written in English mainly, but to see ¥ (yen mark) was sort of weird.
At 12:04 PM, I ordered all the 4 Concretes, and the pager given was smaller than the ones in the states.
It's definitely smaller than iPhone6 and quite thicker.
There're inside and outside eating spaces, but for the inside, you have to line up and wait till the staff leads you to a table.
However, outside is wherever you can sit, so it actually requires teamwork.
As I was alone this time without my husband, I decided to eat my Concretes at a standing table like I sometimes do in the states.
Spoon looked a bit more square than round.

It took them as long as it takes in the states, which I imply quite slow, and also the cups were sticky, but at least they tried to wipe it off yet it made it even dirtier.
I felt it's not clean from a hygiene perspective as the staffs cooking in the kitchen didn't wear masks but laughing and talking loud.
The cup seemed small and shallow, and according to a staff, it's actually a special small size for Japan.
I thought this Shack Attack was the same as the one in Madison Square Park, but this Tokyo one uses milk chocolate popcorn brownie from Dominique Ansel Bakery.
It consists of chocolate custard, fudge sauce, milk chocolate popcorn brownie, chocolate chunks from Valrhona and chocolate sprinkles.
The color was, "Wow... very brown" if I use Doge, and I wasn't that excited since I don't find Shake Shack's chocolate custard is that tasty, and usually chocolate with chocolate Concrete sucks.
As I thought, the chocolate chunks from Valrhona, chocolate sprinkles and fudge sauce were too much to me.
Popcorn in the brownie was crunchy, but it didn't help the flavor become that interesting.

日本で最初のシェイクシャックが、2016年11月13日に外苑いちょう並木にオープンした。
コンクリートが4種類あるので、今日全て食べに行って来た。
11時16分頃に着くと、11時開店にもかかわらず100人ほどが並んでいた。
いちょう並木にある店舗で、建物も雰囲気もマディソンスクエアパークに似ていた。
並んでいる最中の11時半にこの店舗に電話をかけ、Cライン（デザートや飲み物、ギフト
のみが購入できる列）があるか聞いたところ、「現在はCラインがない」との回答だった。
注文カウンターには「Cライン」と書かれた看板がかかっていたので、Cラインがいつ
解放されるか気になった。
待っている間に、店員がメニューを配っていた。
壁にかかっていたメニューは主に英語で書かれていたけれど、￥（円マーク）を見るのは
不思議な感じだった。
12時04分にコンクリートを4種類頼むとブザーが渡された。
このブザーはアメリカのものよりもずっと小ぶり、iPhone6よりも小さく、分厚かった。
店内とテラスに飲食スペースがあり、店内では店員が空いた席へ案内するシステムで、
テラス席は空いている席に自由に座って良い。
このため、テラス席に座る場合はチームワークが必要となる。
今回私は旦那不在のまま1人で行ったので、たまにアメリカでもするように立ったまま
食べることにした。（椅子のないカウンターテーブル）
スプーンは少し四角いように感じた。
この店舗には東京エディション、シャックアタック、ウォークインザパーク、ストロ
ベリーバナナクランチがあった。
コンクリートが出てくるまでの時間は米国と変わらず長く、カップもベタベタしていた。
少なくともここでは店員が綺麗にしようとして拭いたけれど、伸びて余計に汚くなって
いた。
もう1つ気になったのは、キッチンで調理していた店員達がマスクもせずに大笑いしたり
大声で話していたりして、不衛生に感じた。
カップが少し小さく浅く感じ、店員によるとこれは日本用に作られたサイズらしい。
シャックアタックはマディソンスクエアパークにあるものと同じかと思ったけれど、東京
のものはドミニクアンセルベーカリーのミルクチョコレート ポップコーンブラウニーが
入っている。
これはチョコレート フローズンカスタード、ファッジソース、ミルクチョコレート ポップ
コーンブラウニー、ヴァローナのチョコレートチャンク、チョコレート スプリンクルが
入っている。
色は「単なる茶色」で、正直あまり食べるのが楽しみではなかった。
理由は、私はシェイクシャックのチョコレート フローズンカスタードは美味しいと思って
コンクリートが4種類あるので、今日全て食べに行って来た。
