November 28 was National French Toast Day, so I went to a diner in Stamford, CT called Springdale Diner which is right next to Springdale station.

There're a lot of items on the menu.

Soon several cusp of butter and syrup were brought after I ordered french toast and grilled cheese.
Both butters were salted and syrup was not maple syrup but maple flavored corn syrup.

French toast was simple and looked good.

I put some butter on each toast and poured syrup.

All the pieces were well soaked in egg wash and it's fluffy and moist inside while outside was crispy and fragrant.
I had a hint of cinnamon but it's light enough not to bother me much.

I wish the syrup was real maple syrup but as the price was low, it's understandable.

11月28日はナショナル フレンチトースト デーで、コネチカット州スタンフォードにある
スプリングデール駅の隣にあるスプリングデール ダイナーへ行ってきた。

沢山のメニューが載っていた。
フレンチトーストとグリルドチーズを頼むと、容器入りのバターとシロップが出された。
2種類のバターは両方とも有塩で、シロップはメープルシロップではなく、「メープル味の
コーンシロップ」だった。

フレンチトーストはシンプルで、美味しそうに見えた。
各トーストにバターを塗り、シロップをかけた。
どのパンも卵液にしっかりと浸かっていて、内側はしっとりふんわりし、外側は香ばしく
サクッとしていた。
シナモンの香りがしたけれど、軽めだったのであまり気にならなかった。
シロップが本物のメープルシロップだったら良かったと思うけれど、値段も安かったので
仕方がないかと思う。
