I found another strawberry flavored new baked good at Tim Hortons today.
It's "Strawberry Glazed Donut / Beigne Glace Aux Fraises" and I assume they've created several strawberry items, including Strawberry Shortcake Muffin I ate yesterday.
Of course this one had "NOUVEAU" over the name.

It looked like Homer Simpson's donut; pink coating with colorful dots.

The donut Homer holds has long and thin shaped confetti though.

From the side, the strawberry flavored glaze is covering about one third of the height.

I think it's my first time to try a ring-shaped non-cake type donut.

And to see such a tall and fluffy donut was new to me.

The donut was very soft, not too dry or not too moist and light.
Strawberry glaze on the top was sweet but had a hint of sourness of strawberry.

I was afraid the colorful dots would fall but actually they stayed on the pink glaze till I finished eating.
It's less sweet than Strawberry Shortcake Muffin.

またティム・ホートンズでイチゴ味の新商品を見つけた。
今日見つけたのは「ストロベリーグレーズドドーナツ」で、昨日食べたストロベリー
ショートケーキマフィンを含め、イチゴ味の商品をいくつか発売したのだと思う。

これまでに食べたティム・ホートンズ商品は以下。

ピンクのコーティングと色鮮やかな粒々が乗っているので、パッと見はホーマー・
シンプソンが持っているドーナツに似ていた。
ただ、ホーマーの持つドーナツは細長い形のトッピング。

横から見ると、イチゴ味のグレーズがドーナツの高さ3分の1を覆っていた。

ティム・ホートンズのケーキタイプではない輪っかドーナツを初めて食べたので、
ドーナツの高さとふんわりした食感が新鮮だった。
ドーナツはとても柔らかく、乾燥しすぎず、しっとりし過ぎず、軽かった。
上にかかっていたイチゴ味のグレーズは甘く、イチゴの酸味も少しだけあった。

食べている時にカラフルな粒々が落ちるかと思ったけれど、最後までグレーズに
くっついたまま落ちることはなく、思いの外食べやすかった。
ストロベリーショートケーキマフィンに比べて、甘さ控えめ。
