The other day I tried a Pretzel Bagel from Tim Hortons and saw new sandwich called Crispy Chicken.
My husband was interested in trying it, so we went to get one.

Products I tried from Tim Hortons are below.
Red Velvet Muffin
Pretzel Bagel and Chocolate Dream Latte

According to their website, Crispy Chicken Sandwich is made on order and it's breaded seasoned white meat with lettuce and tomato on a bakery-style bun.

This is the actual product we got.

The buns were flat, not tall like the photo.

The order of the ingredients inside were different from the photo, too.
It's still weird for me to see things aren't same from the photo shown though the product contains the listed items.

My husband asked for less mayonnaise, so I had a bite where wasn't touching mayo.
Surface of the bread was powdery like ciabatta bread, but the dough was soft.
It's too ordinary to see what they meant by "bakery-style."

Lettuce and tomato were fresh.
Chicken had weird oil flavor like it'd been fried a long time ago and reheated in a toaster on order.
And it's white meat for sure but it's not one big piece of breast meat and was reformed meat like McDonald's nuggets.
However, this chicken was dried and not juicy.

I'm not sure if we just happened to get a bad piece or it's the same at any branch, but I didn't find it tasty.

ティム・ホートンズのプレッツェル ベーグルを食べた時、「クリスピーチキン」という新商品の
広告があった。
旦那が食べてみたいと言っていたので、1つ買ってみた。

これまでに食べたティム・ホートンズの商品は以下。
レッド ベルベット マフィン
プレッツェル ベーグルとチョコレート ドリーム ラテ

HPによると、クリスピーチキンサンドイッチは注文後作られるようで、パン粉をつけた鶏胸肉、
レタス、トマトがベーカリースタイルのパンに挟まれているらしい。

実際手渡された商品のパンはぺしゃんこで、写真とは違っていた。
また、パンの間に挟まれている具材も写真とは順番が違う。
リストに記載された物が入ってはいるものの、やはり写真と違うと奇妙に感じてしまう。

旦那はマヨネーズを少なめにとお願いしたので、マヨネーズが付いてない部分を食べてみた。
パンの表面はチャバタのような粉っぽく、生地は柔らかかった。
普通のパンだったので、HPにある「ベーカリースタイル」が何を意味するのか分からない。
レタスとトマトはみずみずしかった。
チキンはかなり前に揚げたものを、オーブントースター等で温めたような味と油臭さがあり、
1枚の胸肉を揚げたのではなく、マクドナルドのチキンナゲットように成型肉だった。
ただ、マクドナルドのナゲットとは違いパサパサでジューシーさがなかった。

単にハズレのチキンだったのか、どの店舗で食べても同じなのかは分からないけれど、
美味しいとは思わなかった。
