Mister Donut launched an interesting texture donut called "Waff" on March 26, 2014.
The texture is described as fluffy, chewy, and light.
The ad line says, "The texture is no longer a donut."

Waff has 3 flavors; Waff (sugar powder), Waff Kinako (kinako (soy flour) powder), Waff Angel Whip (Angel Cream in the middle).

I bought the simplest one "Waff."

It's slightly smaller than the inner line of the plate, which is 12cm (4.7 inch) in diameter, so I assume the Waff is about 10 - 11cm (3.9 - 4.3 inch).

It was as heavy as other donuts I've had when I picked it up.
The weight could be almost the same as others, so only the texture is light but not the donut itself.

After one bite, I saw some air pockets inside like chou.

And the texture was exactly the ad line says; fluffy, chewy, and light.

First it was fluffy and soft, it's chewy like "pão de queijo (cheese bun)," and it disappeared without noticing.

It didn't have heavy and greasy scent, and I enjoyed the buttermilk flavor.

It's much chewier than I thought but somehow light at the same time.
It's a very interesting donut.

ミスタードーナツから変わった食感のドーナツ「ワッフ」が2014年3月26日に発売された。
その食感は、ふわふわでもっちりしていて軽いらしい。
広告のキャッチコピーを見ると「この食べごこち、もはやドーナツではない。」となっている。

このワッフには3種類フレーバーがあり、粉砂糖をまぶしたシンプルな「ワッフ」、きなこをかけた
「ワッフ きなこ」、エンゼルクリームを挟んだ「ワッフ エンゼルホイップ」がある。

無駄なトッピングがない「ワッフ」を食べてみた。
お皿の内線（直径12センチ）よりも少し小さかったので、ワッフは10～11センチだと思う。

持ち上げた時、他のドーナツと同じような重さがあったので、重量は軽いわけではないらしい。

一口食べてみると、シュー生地のように空包があった。
食感はキャッチコピー通り「ふわっ、もちっ、軽い」だった。
最初はふわっと柔らかく、ポンデケージョ（ブラジルのチーズパン）のようにもちもちした食感で、
いつの間にか口の中から消えた。
ドーナツのギトギトした油っぽさがそれほどなく、バターミルクの風味が良いドーナツだった。

想像以上のもちもち感があり、それと同時に軽さもあるとても面白いドーナツだった。
