My husband had a business trip to Kyoto and brought me back some souvenirs, which are all snacks.

One of them is "Milky Kyoto Matcha Pudding Flavored Milky."

The actual product name is "Kyo No Omatcha Purin" in romaji.

"Kyo No Omatcha Purin" is a matcha pudding with green tea powder 100% from Uji city produced by Kyomigawa (京みがわ).

And this Milky recreates the famous pudding flavor; this Milky also uses green tea powder 100% from Uji city.

On the package, Peko-chan is dressed up as Maiko.

And there're 6 mini packages in the box, and they all had the same Peko-chan as the outer box did.

On the back, there's the same explanation of the flavor like the bigger box had.

Each mini box had 6 candies.

Same as regular Milky candies, there're Peko-chan and Milky logos on the wrapping paper.

It's said that if the wrapping paper has 10 Peko-chan without missing any part of the flower around the face, I'm lucky.

This on had 8 Peko-chan with full flower petals.

The candy was light pale green.

I haven't tried Kyo No Omatcha Purin, so I can't compare the flavor.

I was excepting bitterness, but it's as sweet as regular Milky candy with subtle matcha flavor.

Though it's said "pudding," there's no caramel sauce inside.

Milky Pudding

旦那が出張で京都へ行き、お土産にお菓子を買ってきてくれた。

そのうち1つが、ミルキーの「京のお抹茶プリン風味」というもので、「京みがわ」が

製造している宇治抹茶100%のプリンの味を再現したものらしい。

このミルキーも宇治抹茶が100%使われている。

パッケージのペコちゃんは舞妓さんの格好をしている。

中には小箱が6個入っていて、外箱のペコちゃんと同じデザインだった。

小箱の裏面の説明は、外箱と同じ内容だった。

各小箱には6個のキャンディーが入っていた。

通常のミルキーと同じように、包み紙にはペコちゃんとミルキーのロゴが入っていた。

ペコちゃんの顔が載った花がどこも欠けずに10個あったらラッキーだと言われているが、

これは8個だった。
キャンディーは淡い緑色で、通常のミルキーと同じくらい甘く、ごくわずかな抹茶風味。

京のお抹茶プリンを食べたことがないので比較はできないけれど、もっと苦みが強いと

思っていたので、苦みがほぼなく少し残念。

プリンと謳っているけれど、中にカラメルソースは入っていない。
