Rudolph Pancake Breakfast From Denny's

Denny's brought back the Rudolph Pancake Breakfast this year again, and when I compared the images, they looked slightly different.
Last year, the nose was put over a separate mini pancake from the face, and they used whipped cream to put chocolate eyes and nose while the nose part was attached and vanilla cream was used to stick eyes and nose this year.
As the pancake was far from the image on the menu for the look and size, we're curious what it'd look like this year and revisited the same location.
The restaurant is near New York City Hall, and they're always slow so that I ate a little bit before heading there to avoid extreme hunger, and though it sounds weird, I highly recommend you don't go there without snacking beforehand.
When we arrived there around 2:30 PM on Sunday, most of the tables was taken yet we're seated in a couple of minutes.
Soon a waitress came and took our drink order, and while she's away, we're decided on the foods.
Though the menu didn't have the Rudolph, she said they had Rudolph when we showed the photo from HP.
As we had expected, it took them a while to serve the dishes and after 20-25 minutes, we finally received the plates.
(Although I had snacks a bit, I got very hungry while waiting.)
The eyes and nose were placed close to what HP shows, but still the Rudolph isn't that pretty as we had imagined.
It's much smaller than what we had last year.
Antlers were turkey bacon, and they're lightly salted, soft, and juicy, and I usually don't like turkey bacon but they're good.
White part of the eyes was vanilla cream, and as it's spreading into oval, it looked like he's crying or worried.
Same as the sclera, the white part of the nose was also roughly dropped over the pancake.
The nose pancake and face pancake were connected, but last year they're individually grilled.
Denny's updated the ingredients of the buttermilk pancakes this summer, and now they use real eggs, fresh buttermilk and a hint of vanilla.
The pancakes were fluffy and lightly chewy, and the surface was subtly crispy.
It's a breakfast meal and comes with 2 eggs with your favorite style, hash browns, bacon or sausage.
I always choose egg white and bacon, and so did today.
Bacons were crispy, egg white was chewy, yet the hash browns were paler than usual and had less crispy parts.

As the pancake was far from the image on the menu for the look and size, we're curious what it'd look like this year and revisited the same location.

みると、昨年のものと少し違っていた。
昨年は独立したミニパンケーキに鼻が乗っていて、目と鼻はホイップクリームで付けて
あったけれど、今年もパンケーキは顔と鼻の部分がくっついていて、目と鼻はバニラ
クリームが使われていた。
昨年はイメージ画像とかなり異なる大きさ・見た目だったので、今年もその仕上がりが
気になったので同じ店舗に行った。
ニューヨーク市庁舎の近くにある店舗はいつも時間がかかるので、極度の空腹を避ける
ために軽く食べてから出かけた。
妙なアドバイスになるけれど、この店舗に行く時は何かつまんでから行くのを強くお勧め
する。
日曜の14時半頃にお店に着くと、ほとんどの席が埋まっていたけれど数分で座れた。
すぐにウェイトレスが来て飲み物の注文を取り、彼女が準備している間に何を食べるか
決めた。
メニューにはルドルフが載っていなかったものの、HPの写真を見せると提供していると
言っていた。
予想通り注文してからしばらく待ち、20〜25分後にやっと料理が出された。
（軽く食べていたものの、待っている間にかなりお腹が空いてしまった）
HPの写真と目と鼻の位置は近く、思っていた通りあまりかわいくないルドルフだった。
昨年のものよりもずっと小さかった。
ターキーベーコンの角は少し塩気があり柔らかく、ジューシーで、私はあまりターキー
ベーコンが好きではないけれど、これは美味しかった。
白目の部分はバニラクリームで楕円形に広がっていたため、泣いているか怯えているよう
だった。
白目同様、鼻のクリームも適当に盛られていた。
昨年は鼻と顔のパンケーキは別々に焼いてあったけれど、今年はくっついた状態だった。
今年の夏にデニーズはバターミルク パンケーキの素材を改良して本物の卵、新鮮なバター
ミルク、バニラが少し入っている。
ふわふわの生地で少しもっちりし、表面はほんの少しカリッとしていた。
ブレックファストなので、好きな焼き方の卵を2個、ハッシュブラウン（細切りのポテトを
揚げ焼きにしたもの）、ベーコン又はソーセージが付いてくる。
私はいつも通り卵は白身のみとベーコンを選んだ。
ベーコンはカリッと焼いてあり、白身はプリッとしていて、ハッシュブラウンはいつも
よりも淡い焼き色でカリカリした部分は少なかった。
