Croissant Muffin From Lawson (Strawberry & Cheese Cream)

ローソンのクロワッサンマフィン（ストロベリー&チーズクリーム）

Lawson launched a new confectionery making with croissant after Croissant Donut and Croissant Bagel a.k.a. Cragel in NYC.

It's called "Croissant Muffin" and launched on September 2, 2014.

It didn't say the weight, but it's lighter and smaller than I thought.

Press said it consists of moist muffin at the bottom and over it, there's crispy croissant.

In the center, there's rich cheese cream and on top, sour Amaou strawberry sauce.

Though, as always, it's stored in a plastic bag so I didn't even have any expectation that it'd have crispness at all.

From the side, the muffin looked like it's baked in a muffin cup with small ruffle patterns.

The muffin was much softer and moister than I imagined, and it's not mushy but smooth.

And it's a very sweet muffin.

The croissant, as I thought, wasn't crispy at all but sticky.

When I bit, the croissant didn't cut clearly and all the croissant dough started sliding into my mouth...

The muffin was fragile so that the strength I need to bite off croissant was different and it's hard to adjust to eat them together.

In the center, there's a few amount of cheese cream, which tasted exactly like cream cheese, but the quantity was very small and it didn't have much presence or taste except just adding a small sourness to the bread.

The jam was also chewy and sticky, thus it flooded into my mouth with large amount.

It had good sourness and sweetness with fruity strawberry flavor.

I liked the soft and moist muffin, and I wish they would sell the muffin without croissant on the top.

Croissant Bagel

ローソンからクロワッサンドーナツ、クロワッサンベーグルに続く、クロワッサンを使用

したスイーツがし発売された。

今回の新商品は「クロワッサンマフィン」で2014年9月2日に発売された。

袋に重さは記載されていなかったけれど、思たよりも小さく軽かった。

プレスには、しっとりしたマフィンの上にサクサクのクロワッサン生地が乗せてあり、

酸味のきいたあまおう苺のソースと、濃厚なチーズクリームが入っているとあった。

ただ、毎度のごとく袋入りなのでサクサク感は期待していなかった。

横から見ると、マフィン型を使って焼かれたような細かい波模様が付いていた。

マフィンは思ったよりも柔らかくしっとりし、モソモソした食感はなく滑らかだった。

また、かなり甘い生地だった。

クロワッサンは想像通り全くサクサクしておらず、べっとりしていた。

一口食べると、クロワッサン生地が切れずに全てがずるずると口の中に入ってきそうに

なった。

マフィンが柔らかく崩れやすいので、べたっとしたクロワッサン生地を噛み切る時の

強さが調整しずらく食べにくい。

中心にはチーズクリームが少量のみ入っていて、クリームチーズと全く同じ味だった。

酸味を少し足していた程度で、ほぼ無いのと変わらない味と存在感。

イチゴの香りと酸味、甘みのあるジャムはべっとり甘く噛み切りにくかったので、一度に

大量のジャムが口の中に入ってきた。

マフィンのしっとりした食感は好きだったので、いっそのことクロワッサン無しで売って

もらいたい。
