Lawson launched a new Premium Roll Cake flavor today, April 22, 2014.

It's "Green Smoothie" flavor with rhubarb and kiwi toppings.
On the corners, there're photos of kiwi, kale, spinach, apple, celery, mango, banana and rhubarb which are all used in this roll cake.

Also, cream in the center has celery and kale sauce.

Cake itself was green as it's made with spinach, kale and celery.
But it had very sweet flavor mainly from banana and mango. 

When I had a bite, the cake was sweet and no bitter taste.
Cream in the center was very sweet, smooth and rich.
The cream is made with banana, mango and apple with honey, but the first 2 fruits were so strong that I didn't taste the rest of the ingredients.

Kiwi on the top was sweet and sour, and rhubarb had sourness and crunchy texture.
Celery and kale sauce looked bitter but instead it's sweet.

Regular Premium Roll Cake uses heavy cream, but this Green Smoothie uses vegetables and fruits also so that it wasn't too sweet but had fruity flavor.

今回のフレーバーは「グリーンスムージー」で、ルバーブとキウイがトッピングされている。
また、中心のクリームにはセロリとケールのソースが入っている。

パッケージには使用されている原料のキウイ、ケール、ホウレンソウ、リンゴ、セロリ、マンゴー、
バナナ、ルバーブの写真が四隅に載っている。

ホウレンソウ、ケール、セロリが練り込まれているケーキ部分は緑色。
ロールケーキに野菜臭さはなく、バナナやマンゴーの甘い香りがした。

一口食べてみると、香りと同じく野菜の苦味はなく甘い生地だった。
中心にあるクリームはとても甘く、滑らかで濃厚だった。
バナナ、マンゴー、リンゴ、はちみつが入っているクリームらしいけれど、バナナとマンゴーの
味と香りが強くリンゴとはちみつの味は分からなかった。
トッピングのキウイは甘酸っぱく、ルバーブも酸味がありシャキシャキした食感だった。
セロリとケールソースも苦そうな色だったけれど、さっぱりした甘みがあった。

通常のプレミアムロールケーキは生クリームだけれど、このグリーンスムージーは野菜や果物が
入っていて甘さもありながら全体的にさっぱりしたロールケーキだった。
