We found a limited edition Root Beer Float Flavored Cream Oreo in Stamford, CT early in August, 2014.

Root Beer is a non-alcoholic carbonated beverage popular in North America in 18th century.
Each brand arranges the ingredients, and there's no standard recipe.
Common flavorings are vanilla, cherry tree bark, licorice root, sarsaparilla root, nutmeg, anise, cinnamon and honey.

I'm not a big fan of its characteristic sweet and bitter flavor similar to medicine, I didn't have high expectation for this Oreo.

Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Oreo

On the side, two Root Bear Float Oreos were shown and the cream was tiled.

When they had two-colored cream like Creamsicle, the cream was divided vertically, so it's new to see.

It had some Root Beer scent which wasn't appetizing to me when I opened the lid, and the cream between cookies was almost twice thicker than regular filling.

The cookies were yellowish and not black with the same 4-leaf clover patterns.

Tiled cream.

The filling looked like the white cream was put more but it's just inclined and both brown and white cream were used almost the same volume.

It had strong anise scent, or something that reminds me of sweet, bitter, and thick cough syrup.
And it tasted as I smelled plus sweet and crispy Oreo cookies.

If I like Root Bear, this would have been enjoyable but I don't like the beverage with too unique and characteristic flavors to begin with, I didn't like it and I could only accept one cookie. 

I wish I could take out my tongue and wash it because the vivid Root Beer flavor stays in my mouth still...

2014年8月上旬、ルートビアフレーバークリーム オレオをスタンフォードで見つけた。

ルートビアは18世紀に作られたアルコールを含まない炭酸飲料で、北アメリカで人気の

ソーダ。

各ブランドが材料を変えるため、基準となるレシピは存在しない。

一般的な材料はバニラ、桜の樹皮、リコリスの根、サルサパリラの根、ナツメグ、アニス、

シナモン、蜂蜜など。

私はルートビア独特の薬のような甘く苦い味が苦手なので、このオレオには全く期待して

いなかった。

パッケージの側面にはルートビアフロートオレオが2個積まれていて、2色のクリームは

斜めに分かれていた。

以前発売されたクリームシクルは2色のクリームが垂直に分かれていたので、斜めに分割

されたクリームのビジュアルは今まで見たことがない。

袋を開けるとルートビアの香りがしたけれど、全く美味しそうではなかった。

クッキーに挟まれているクリームの量は通常のオレオの2倍ほどあり厚かった。

クッキーは黒ではなく黄色っぽく、同じ四葉のクローバーの模様だった。

実物のクリームも斜めに分割されていた。

クッキーをめくるとフィリングは白い方が沢山入っているように見えたけれど、斜めに

分けられているので実際は茶色と白のクリームは同量挟まれていた。

強いアニスか、咳止めシロップの甘くて苦くどろりとした味に似た香りと味がし、

サクサクした甘いオレオクッキーが加わった。

もしルートビアが好きだったら美味しいと思ったかもしれないけれど、元々あの独特の

風味がある飲み物が嫌いなので、1個食べるのがやっとだった。

舌を取り出して洗えるものなら洗いたいほど、口の中に強烈な香りが残る。
