Oreo's Special Package To Support Canadian Olympic Team With Pride And Joy

A friend of my husband living in Toronto sent us this special Oreo, too!!

Yesterday I had Ritz Pride & Joy, and today I'm trying Oreo, another Proud Supporter, with Pride & Joy label on.

This package also looks like the package is wearing a Oreo medal on like Ritz.

Unlikely Ritz, Oreo has a resealable sticker on the package and doesn't have much space to have English and French separately as the sealing side needs to be on the top/front, they put both languages on the front right next to each other.

On the back, there's a famous line both in English and French.

Twist, Lick, Dunk

Separer, Lecher, Tremper

And I just realized for the first time but in Japanese, the phrase is different.

They say, "Twist, Scoop, Dunk."

I guess "lick" gives an impression of poor mannered behavior and Japanese Nabisco had changed the word?

On the side, there's the same introduction of the Olympics' app which was on the Ritz box.

I saw 3 lines of trays under the resealable sticker, and there're precisely organized Oreos.

Front

I'm not sure which side is supposed to be "front" when it comes to Oreo as it's gotta same patterns on both sides, but as it's Pride & Joy, I say this is the front.

There's a maple leaf surrounded by the well-known four-leaf clovers.

Back

Regular Oreo patterns.

It tasted regular Oreo, but it might have been crunchier according to my husband.

I felt like this Oreo had thicker biscuit than Japanese Oreo, but not sure if it's exactly the same as the US Oreo, which I haven't eaten for a while.

Crunching up Oreo needed some Pride to welcome the Joy in my mouth.

トロントに住む旦那の友人が、オレオも送ってくれた。

昨日はリッツのプライド & ジョイ を食べ、今日は別のプラウド サポーターであるオレオを食べた。

このパッケージもリッツのように、オレオのメダルを首から掛けているように見える。

また、リッツとは異なりオレオは開閉可能なシールパッケージで、常にシールの面が

表・上向きである必要があるので、片面ずつ英語・仏語で表記することができない。

そのため、表に英仏で商品名やプライド & ジョイが記載されている。

背面には誰もが知っているフレーズ「ツイスト、リック、ダンク」が両言語で書かれている。

初めて気が付いたけれど、日本では「ツイスト、スクープ、ダンク」。

スクープ（scoop）、つまり「すくう」と表現されている。

英語フレーズのリック（lick）は「なめる」という意味なので、行儀が悪い印象なので変えたのかな？

袋の横には、リッツの箱に記載されていた五輪アプリの説明があった。

シールをめくると、中には3列のトレーがあり、オレオが綺麗に並べられていた。

オレオはいつも両面に同じ模様が入っているのでどちらが表か分からないけれど、

今回はプライド & ジョイ の商品なので、楓の葉がデザインされている面を表とすることにした。

表には前述のように楓の葉が中心にあり、その周りを見慣れている四葉のクローバーが

囲んでいる。

裏は楓の葉がなく、通常のオレオクッキーのデザイン。

味は普通のオレオだったけれど、旦那はクッキーが少し固めに感じると言っていた。

個人的にはこのオレオは日本の物に比べてクッキー部分が分厚く感じた。

ただ、アメリカのオレオと違いがあるかは分からなかった（しばらく食べていないので）。
