Ritz's Special Package To Support Canadian Olympic Team With Pride And Joy

I learned that Canadian Oreo, Ritz, Cadbury and Dentyne are Proud Supporters of the Canadian Olympic Team and they're putting "Pride & Joy" design for a limited time and only in Canada.
And The Proud Supporters have created an app both on Apple and Android, and the app is to know the up-to-date information about the Games with schedule, medal counts and even giveaways.
Thought it's an free app, Christie will donate 1 dollars per download to the Canadian Olympic Foundation.
* The Nabisco brand products are distributed by Christie in Canada.

This Pride & Joy series are supposed to be sold in throughout the country, but we couldn't find any single item in Montreal.
Then a friend of my husbands living in Toronto found Ritz and Oreo at a regular grocery store, not like Walmart or Target, and he sent them to us!!

The special package of Ritz original flavor cracker has "Pride & Joy" center top, and the design looks like the package is wearing a medal made with Ritz with an embossed maple leaf.

And as it's Canada, it's both in English and French.

On the side, there's an introduction of the app I mentioned above.

There's one big bag in the box, which was a bit of surprise.
I thought there'd be 2-3 trays nicely storing the limited Ritz with Canadian symbol; maple leaf, but it's just a regular bag.

I can see the maple leaf very clearly --- I hope so can you.

I can see maple leaf, too, so I'm guessing that they press the Ritz from both sides to create this pattern.

It tasted exactly same as the regular Ritz, and the crispiness was also the same.
I couldn't taste the Pride but sure I had a Joy eating this special, limited, adorable and Canadian Ritz!

カナダのオレオ、リッツ、キャドバリー、デンティーンがカナダ五輪チームの
「プラウド サポーター」として、期間限定、カナダ限定で「プライド＆ジョイ（誇りと喜び）」との
メッセージが添えられたパッケージで商品を出していると知った。
また、このプラウド サポーターはアップルとアンドロイドでアプリを作成し、このアプリによって
最新の五輪スケジュール、メダル獲得数を把握することができ、さらに懸賞に応募することが
できる。
このアプリは無料だけれど、ダウンロード毎に1ドルをクリスティー（Christie）がカナダの
オリンピック基金に募金する仕組みとなっている。

この Pride & Joy シリーズはカナダ全土で発売されているらしいけれど、モントリオールで
見つけることができなかった。
すると、トロントに住む旦那の友人がWalmartやTargetではなく、通常のスーパーで見つけて
わざわざリッツとオレオを送ってくれた。

リッツのオリジナルフレーバーの特別パッケージの上部中心には「プライド＆ジョイ」と
書かれていて、楓の葉が型押しされたリッツクラッカーがメダルのようで、まるで箱が
メダルを首から掛けているように見える。
もちろんカナダの商品なので、英語とフランス語。
側面には上部で触れたアプリについて紹介されている。

箱の中には大きな袋が一つ。
開けるまでは2、3個のトレーにカナダの象徴である楓の葉が型押しされたオレオが綺麗に
並べられていると思っていたので、適当に袋詰めされた限定リッツの姿に驚いた。

表にはしっかりと楓の葉が表れていた。
裏にも楓の葉があるので、両面からプレスされているのかもしれない。

通常のリッツと全く同じ味で、サクサク感も同じ。
誇りは感じられなかったけれど、間違いなく美味しく食べる喜びは感じられた特別仕様の
限定リッツだった。
