Oreo Crumble Donut From Dunkin' Donuts

On the way to drive down to NY from Montreal, we stopped by Dunkin' Donuts.
And we saw some new goods besides Oreo Vanilla Bean I was gonna try.
Dunkin' Donuts had 2 types of Oreo Donuts.
Tim Hortons has launched Oreo donut, too, and apparently, this year is Oreo's 100th anniversary so that everyone is making Oreo featured products.
Unfortunately, "Oreo Donut" which contain vanilla cream filling was sold out, but the other one "Oreo Crumble Donut" was still available so we bought one.
Unlike the Oreo Donut from Tim Hortons, the dough was yellow donut, not cocoa flavored.

And the top had a lot of white icing which wasn't fully covered with Oreo cookie crumble.
Oreo cookies were crispy and the icing was fragile.
Outside of the dough was flaky as it's glazed, and inside was soft and bouncy like a bread.
Icing was really sweet and I couldn't even tell the bitterness of the Oreo cookie, and it tasted different from the one between Oreo cookies.
I felt that they recreated the look only but not the flavor well.
Tim Hortons' Oreo Donut was better.

モントリオールからニューヨークへ車で向かっている途中、ダンキンドーナツへ立ち
寄った。
ずっと気になっていたオレオ バニラビーン以外にも新しい商品が出ていた。
ダンキンドーナツもオレオ味のドーナツを2種類発売していた。
カナダではティム・ホートンズもオレオ ドーナツを発売していたので調べてみると、
今年はオレオ誕生100周年らしい。
これでオレオを使った商品を沢山見かける理由が分かった。
残念ながらバニラクリームが入った「オレオ ドーナツ」は売り切れていたけれど、もう
1つの「オレオ クランブル ドーナツ」があったので、食べてみた。
ティム・ホートンズのオレオ ドーナツとは違って、生地は黄色でココア風味ではない。
上部のオレオクッキーを砕いたものは、白いアイシングを完全には覆っていなかった。
オレオクッキーはサクサクしていて、アイシングはもろく崩れやすかった。
ドーナツ生地は外側が砂糖でシャリシャリし、内側はふんわりしたパンのようだった。
アイシングはとても甘くて、オレオクッキーの苦みが分からないほどで、オレオに
挟まれているクリームとは味が違うように感じた。
オレオらしさは見た目だけで、それほどオレオの味はしなかった。
ティム・ホートンズのオレオ ドーナツの方が美味しかった。
