Baked KitKat "Pudding"

(Japanese follows. /

I tried KitKat pudding flavor as it is and found that it didn't taste like pudding without baking it.
So, finally, I baked the KitKat!

On the back of the package, there're instructions how to bake it.
It says, "2 - 2 minutes and a half to bake in an oven toaster (1000W) for 4 pieces."
And the tips are to refrigerate KitKat before baking and no preheat.
I checked a video no their website for more details and the patissier said that preheated oven would just melt the KitKat and wouldn't create the crispy caramelized surface.

So I followed the advice and put Kitkat in a fridge for more than 2 nights and didn't preheat the toaster and also made sure the toaster was cold.

On a toaster tray, I put an aluminum foil, and placed a KitKat.

And put into the toaster which is 860 watts and in a minute or so, the surface started bubbling finely.

Once it started bubbling, the surface turned brown pretty quickly.
Less than 30 seconds after bubbling, it became like the photo below.
I'd recommend you stand in front of the toaster and constantly checking the KitKat in the toaster.
Especially once it starts bubbling, the surface starts caramelizing very fast so please make sure you won't burn it completely.

It's very hot when it's baked, so I let it cool down for about 20 - 30 seconds.
The surface was dry, crispy, and candied like Creme Brulee.
And edges at the bottom were baked a little bit and were crispy.
The wafers inside were crispy and the sides were the same smooth chocolate so that I could enjoy various textures.

When I ate KitKat pudding flavor as it was, I didn't find any pudding flavor in it, but when I baked the KitKat, I truly thought it tasted like pudding with fragrant caramelized surface which had a similar taste to caramel sauce over pudding.

When you buy this KitKat Pudding, I highly recommend you toast it.
Baked KitKat tasted much much much... better!
