Yamazaki launched "Only The Top Of The Melon Pan. 2 (Melon Pan No Kawa Yaichaimashita. 2)" on November 1, 2015.

It's literally the top of the Melon Pan which is a sweet bread and the first series was introduced in the fall of 2014 and made a huge hit.

Other "Only The Top Of The Melon Pan." is the following.

Chocolate Chips And Cocoa Flavored Only The Top Of The Melon Pan.

The difference from the first product is the checkered patterns on the top like actual Melon Pan and the size.
When I tried the original item, I thought the biscuit was very tiny as I thought it'd be as big as the real Melon Pan.

It seemed slightly bitter, but not really a life-size biscuit over a Melon Pan.

The bottom, but burned but brown.

From the side.

It could be broken into small pieces with the criss-cross patterns on the top, but I just ate it.
The buttery flavor was the same and the sugar on the top was crunchy.
The biscuit was moist inside and the bottom was fragrant.
It's said to have been added melon flavor, and the fruity flavor was subtle.

If they're gonna make the third series, I'd like them to make it larger.

Another change of in this was the package; it also had the Melon pattern.

山崎から「メロンパンの皮焼いちゃいました。2」が2015年11月1日に発売された。
商品名通りメロンパンの皮の部分だけの商品で、2014年秋に第一弾が発売され、大ヒット
した。

これまでに食べた「メロンパンの皮焼いちゃいました。」は以下。

第一弾との違いは、本物のメロンパンに似せた表面の格子模様とサイズだった。
確かに最初の商品を食べた時は、通常のメロンパンの大きさを想像していたので、とても
小さいと感じたのを覚えている。
多少大きいかなという印象だったけれど、メロンパンに乗っている大きさではなかった。
底は茶色かったけれど、焦げてはいなかった。

チェック柄で折って食べることができるけれど、私はそのまま食べた。
バターの香りは同じで、上にかかっていた砂糖はシャリシャリしていた。
ビスケットの内側はしっとりし、底の部分は香ばしかった。
メロンの淡い香りが足されていた。

第三弾が出る時は、もっと大きくなっていると嬉しい。

さらにもう一点違いがあり、これはメロン模様のパッケージになっていた。
